Mr. Frightman: thank you for the video very informative. I only got to click for the arms and purchase some from Home Depot to secure it. The round piece is screw on the base and then you place the staff on it, to allow ease of movement. I hope this info helps. The eyes on the crow don’t light up on mine but still love it. FD
Hey thanks! I found those clips on Amazon so I was able to replace those. Apparently that piece was supposed to be screwed to the base but it broke off but it's still no big deal and my crow head doesn't light up either, but only you and me know this. 😁
Thank you for the feedback. I used to do the assembly and demo in one video, but decided to split it up. I never thought the assembly videos would do better than the demo and review, but that is the case in a lot of props on the channel.I had another sub let me know they love assembly videos . So interesting.
The little piece of plastic is a piece that fits over the pivot mechanism at the base. It fits into the base of the staff that he holds. I'm guessing that you'll discover that before the end, but the anticipation is fun.
@@magic.marmot so mine was broke and no I did not figure it out until people put it in the comments. I say mine was broke because I don't think it was ever supposed to come off but should have been screwed on there. However, it really didn't make a difference. He doesn't really need that. @@kekaulikedI've noticed this year they have zip, tied a lot of wires to the poles and sometimes doing that the plug gets hidden behind the wires and the zip tie. You're not the first person to say this. Check very closely where the zip ties are as the connector might have got hidden behind the zip tie.
You're welcome! I did contact them and they did send me out the pins. However, at the same time I just ordered an assortment from Amazon. Thank you for the information. I appreciate it. I think I just missed that in the instructions or it was supposed to be screwed on and it wasn't. But thank you and I'm really happy you got all of your pins. I did contact Pam Asian who made this and I was very happy that they not only sent me pins but they also sent me a replacement sensor.
You are correct. Mine is broken off. Someone else had pointed that out and I went back and looked at the directions and indeed it should be there but it's broke if it's on the little crazy bolt piece just fine though. So I guess I'm okay with it. But thank you for letting me know.
This was the hardest part for me. I fought with it for 20 minutes to find the wires but i fimally got it together. They have good directions but hes 7 ft and im 5.4. I got the cotter pins
Thank for the input. They did send me a new costume and pins, so my sensor works now. You are not alone on the wires. I had a ot of questions about where the wires were. He is tall, I did use my ladder as well. :)
The only other thing I could tell you is there is a wire to light up the costume and that actually comes from the inside of the costume. If that's not it, I'm afraid I am out of ideas for you. 😥
Are you having a problem finding the second cord coming from inside the head or do you have the wires and you don't know where to connect them onto the control box?
@@Frightman I can’t find the second cord to connect the one on the head the two prong one. I found the first one easy and then looking in the torso I can’t find the other cord to connect the next head cord to.
@@felicialynn8369I understand. That connector is with a bunch of other wires that are zip tied around the main pole of the upper body. Look very closely at that main pole where all of the wires are zip tied to and hopefully you're going to find it there. It's hard to see cuz everything is black.
@@felicialynn8369The other thing you could do is go to the control box and one by one follow each wire from the control box to where you find the end of it. That method may not be fun, but it should find you the cord.
Normally I would have a recommendation and I just went and looked at the back of mine to check. However, they are using a proprietary Jack on this adapter and I don't know anybody that makes that type of fitting on the end of an adapter. I don't know how long it's been since you contacted them but generally they reply back within 24 hours. If I were you, I would go to a couple Home Depots and asked to speak to the manager of the seasonal area and see if he has any returned as broken and make a deal to buy that power adapter from him or her. Good luck!
So the arm is driven by a motor and a plastic gear that really can't take very much resistance. And if it has too much resistance, one of the gears may lose a tooth and that would cause your popping. That could have happened but here's what I would tell you. Number one take off the costume and try to run it without the costume. Now you won't be able to use a sensor because the sensor is mounted on the costume, but without the costume you should still be able to turn the control box on and off and it would cycle through one cycle. Basically what I'm trying to get you to do is run it without the costume to see if it still pops. If it does, you have an unfixable problem. If it does not pop without the costume, you probably have the costume positioned wrong and it's putting resistance on that arm. After that test you have two options. If it's not popping without the costume, then put the costume on again, but be careful about putting it on that right arm and making sure you're not causing any resistance. Perhaps you're not pulling it up high enough. If it is popping without the costume then you have an unfixable problem. And if you go to your owner's manual, there is an email address for pan Asian write them. Tell them what's going on and at least for me on mine. They were quick to respond and send me out a replacement body so that my sensor would work. Good luck!
I'm not sure what you mean. Where can I connect the sensors to? Did you not find the cord in the front of the costume and the corresponding connector on the control box.
By the way, Spirit Halloween is selling a really cool infrared sensor that you can use across a driveway if that's what you mean and you would connect that to the step pad Jack
Sorry to hear that. Welcome to my club. You can write the company and they will send you pins. The email address is on your instructions sheet. In the meantime, you could use some very small zip ties or just a piece of wire to hold it until you get the pins in.
