- With the latest generation of the Honda CRV, they introduced a new diesel engine and 7-seater configuration in the Philippines. However, they still retained one 5-seater Gas variant. What's the difference? Martin will share with you what he found out.

I agree. A proper comparo with less cheesy/rude/mysoginist jokes by another reviewer. For someone whos looking for their first car next year we need more videos like this.

Since the vehicle variants offer different engine, the comparison should have mentioned more on the speed performance (considering the 1.6 versus 2.0 engines). This is very important in deciding which to logically choose, since I might prefer a much speedier ride, quiet hood, lesser seats and much spacious cabin over what the diesel variant offers aesthetically. Not to mention the big difference in price.
higher torque figuresawd ( that feature alone) plus a traditional automatic. big price difference justified.

I appreciate Honda ph pero yung 1.6dsl na 120hp/300tq talo sa competition at its price point. Winning factor is only the extra 2 seats. Besides that, Mazda's CX5 2.2dsl 190hp/450tq just nails it compared to this. Filipinos need better. Come on Honda ph.
@Juan Dela Cruz So the Philippine market should just get the underpowered version of the crv bec enough lang sa market? Other sea countries got the better tuned 1.6 crv diesel. It's like you're being offered a half sized meal while others are getting the full ones. Parang ang baba nang tingin ni Honda ph sa pinoy. I had test driven both the crv and cx5 (diesel) and tbh, the cx5 just feels so much torque-y night and day yung difference.
@Juan Dela Cruz where did you even get that near dead assumption, na kaka revive lang nang Mazda as it's own company not partnered with Ford around 5/6yrs ago lmao. Yes Honda ph sold more than Mazda pero yung sales na yan galing sa brio and the mpvs while Mazda mostly did it's sales sa cx5 and mazda3. I'm no Mazda fanboy. I'm just saying tinitipid ka nang Honda crv for 2.1m. We neither got the crv or cx5 and went with the everest bi-turbo lol

Wala namang 7 seat sa cx5, di pa matipid, haha stock pa sa traffic, mas mahal pa nga yan sa CRV.

Does the gasoline variant not have a top spec'd model?
Does the 2023 models offer 1.5L Turbo Engine? It would have 190hp engine with 189lb sq ft torque.

With the 6th gen CRV upcoming, feeling ko na yung 2.0 naturally-aspirated engine (and markets na available ang 2.4 K24 engine) will be replaced with yung 1.5 VTEC Turbo engine.
Dun ako sa gasoline-powered CR-V, galing ng feature umaatras kahit walang driver lol...
I'm not interested sa looks. But more on under the hood and practicality especially performance and pricing and what's good for the environment in the long run. And of course how far your money can go in terms of K/L.

at 3:10, Correction Sir. No offence, only 10mm or 1 centimeter difference on the ground clearance not 100mm or 10 centimeter. Ang laki n ng 10cm difference.

its very expensive for an entry variant with only 5 seats. the 3rd row has small legroom only a kid can fit in. almost useless. i should buy an innova or a entry variant mux instead. anyways, good review. san c stanley? lolzz..

You are not doing yourself a favor by not buying the hybrid crv. Its the superior drivetrain.

Yung Crv ko 12years old na 250k millage pero smooth parin at matulin ehh yang diesel kaya nayan aabot kaya yan ng 100k millage

Problema lang sa led headlight, kalat ang ilaw unlike sa projector.

Para tumipid mag gamit ka ng econ button pag sa City drive. Yon lang tip ko.. kasi my econ button function.
Kawawa naman ang gasoline variant...sacrificed model compared to diesel variant..anyhow it is more expensive compared to gasoline .. buy mux new model 1.9 much better than crv diesel..

This is the true if your gas is equipt with cvt transmation this is true is problimatic google it before y have to buy coz here in USA cvt trans is not so reliable its problimatic so mostly cars manufacture are changing there trans cvt . On diesel f is equipt with turbo this is also problimatic it broke down not even reach 80000 miles my brother in law car is 2017 santa fe the dealer mechanic say that its easy to losing oil coz ot the turbo and the engine is small desplacement so mechanics verdict is not so reliable that the true so my comment google before u buy do you will not lost ur money
So safe po to choose the diesel 9at non turbo compared sa turbo diesel variant and cut gas variant?

Gasoline with 98 Octane always the best ... Diesel nah !!! High Maintenance Turbo with too many Computer Boxes at least 22 Computer Boxes, Gasoline always wins !! When it comes to vehicles life span is up to 30 years with Honda. Diesel should be able to run if the TURBO ever konks out on you, HONDA gasoline cars will always #1 That's a fact !!! Diesel .. .sorry as a mechanic @ 56 years old sorry Honda people only buy Diesel because of the GAS reasons, you should buy a CAR because of the Quality of the engine and the essential of self maintaining an engine. Diesel engines when you look at it. Where's the oil cap? I might break my nail, I just had them painted LOL
