This happens so rarely to me, that I'm completely caught off guard when someone does say something. I almost don't know what to say lol
This is the way of much of the south and it was an adjustment from growing up in the Midwest. Would love to see you journey to Texas and enjoy Big Bend.

Many TH-camrs work extremely hard for years and don't break 20k, so congratulations on your QUICK channel growth. I live in North San Diego county. When I do my shopping I've made it a point to smile at everyone. Many don't look up but those who do really light up and smile or even say "good morning" or some other comment. I grew up in a small down in So. Cal. and it was always friendly. Don't know what happened to this beautiful place!

Im taking a rest day. Shower and haircut. Drove 9 hours yesterday, was stuck up in the Medicine Bow Wyoming in a winter storm with 75+ wind. Didnt want to lose the canoe, and mountain bike on top. Taking the Colorado river down to a more suitable environment. Im ready for some swimming.
Nice to see you grow! I also say hi to everyone when I'm on a walk or hike. I used to get spicy when people didn't respond but now most of the time I just silently send them love. 💞
If they don't respond, no worries! At least you tried

Great video! Have fun! As for the ticket, as first time offender (in that city) and being out of town, you can try to call in and ask for the ticket to be dismissed. You’d be surprised how many cities would dismiss first offense. At the end of the day cities want to welcome visitors and just need to make sure people park properly so they can keep the streets clean… enjoy the journey!

Fun hike to the waterfalls! Amazing how the others followed once you went into the water and stood beneath the waterfall. It's as if you gave them permission to try it out themselves. That's great how you greet folks with a smile and make their day. Happy travels! Jenny

I lived in California my whole life and been here often. But yet, your videos make it look so much better that I feel like I have taken these areas for granted just because I live here.
Since I'm recording on hikes I stop frequently to get footage of cool things I see. I think it can easily be missed otherwise

We also love to travel in our car. We have been car camping for years. We just bought a small off roady travel trailer to tow behind our 4Runner so we have a bit more space and luxury. Glad you are getting out there and enjoying your travels. Our daughter now has a Rav4 and she is doing some traveling too. We don't live in our vehicles full time but do go out for a few weeks at a time. Keep it up, making money doing something you love is a huge bonus, lots of time later for jobs and being all adulty....Peace.

I'm a SoCal native and I never get bored of Malibu. I have a lifelong friend who lives with his family at the top of Latigo Canyon on 27 acres and I always sleep outside when I stay there. Take care and have a Great Journey! I'll be 'subscribed!'

Sometimes, in some places, parking is different from standing still. If the ticketer sees that you're alert and seated at your steering wheel even while the car is at a standstill, then they take that as you're not "parked" but waiting or standing; the former is ticketed, but the latter is not. Anyhoo, you did the safer thing and switched sides. You made the first move even though others didn't- just like at the waterfall. Sometimes being the first means taking risks others won't or can't.
