please explain..... i just got my permit and i am planning to work for a company for 6 months then my dream is to become an owner operator. how much do you make per month on average after everything ?
Jimmy …. This has nothing to do with this young man’s video. But that statement you made of “no way” is simply not accurate. Someone’s opportunity in trucking has everything to do with location. Every O/O does NOT have to spend time running OTR to generate $1,200 to $1,500 a day on low miles. It’s all about opportunity and location, every city and state is created differently.
I profited $4100 on $7500 so it might be possible, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, my video breakdown on my profit and loss just posted on my channel 💰🙏🏿
No way you pocketed 3k out of 4k gross. You better humble up fast and do some serious math or you will loose that truck in no time. Hopefully that truck don’t take everything else down with it. You pocketed maybe 1000$ after $ is taken out for everything and some put aside for maintenance and repairs. Best of luck.

Help us conceptualize these numbers. What are your monthly expenses? Primarily truck payment and insurances and fuel. And how much do you set back for maintenance and repairs?
Bro that's a $200,000 truck. Your truck payment alone is at least $3,000 a month. Going by dry van rates, i'll be generous and say you got $2.50 a mile on all miles. That means you ran at least 1600 miles to make that $4,000. New Cascadias get around 8+mpg, i'll be generous and say you're getting 9mpg, which means you've used 177 gallons at $4 a gallon. Thats $708 in fuel. I don't believe your insurance is $1300 a month, but i'll grant you that. At $4000 you're still in the hole -$1000 for the month. I have never seen a company or o/o with a brand new truck that could afford to leave the truck sitting unless it's being leased.
I got my permit and I hope to get my truck in the future. Watching these TH-cam videos don’t really help because people don’t be honest in their videos
My question is,how with a new authority did you manage to only put down $2,100 for insurance ? And how is it possible to have a monthly payment of only $1,300 month, with only 18 months of experience, reguardless of clean record ? Doesn't add up. Not calling you a fraud, but it's not likely.
I almost forgot with a new authority I had to out down around $4600. Also he has a brand new $150,000 truck, lol theres no way his expenses for the week were only $1,000.
