Yeah it really is ridiculous, most people wont keep the boxes or stack them on their shelves anyways, and this is just a complete waste of space and resources...I guess im getting old but excessive packaging and needless plastic bags/wrappings has started to annoy me greatly.
I was so impressed with the special forces for the Rebels, I made sure the local store grabbed a 2nd box of the Imperials for me. I need to come up with a 2nd paint scheme now... probably just cammo I guess.
really nice minis, I'm thinking of buying some legion stuff just to put them on the shelf and admire them whole day. Unfortunately, they're not that cheap where I live, especially considering that I'd need two boxes of some of them lol (I'd love to have one set of scouts painted normally and second one in black, just like Imperial commandos from old books and games)
So pumped these are out. I feel like Fantasy Flight needs to balance out their expansions so one side does not have to wait while the other gets dope minis

These guys look cool. I'll be honest though I always do the base paint with the arms unassembled and I totally paint the parts you will never see and fully aknowledge that ther is no point lol
With the sonic charge does that mean I could place the charge at range 1 leave it and continue moving further away but if enemies came near it then it could detonate
Thematically I prefer imperial armies that are big and heavy, and rebels that are light but surgical. AT-ST's versus commandos. Who said both sides should have similar expansions? I would have liked an imperial armoured troop carrier to balance the rebel commandos.
Paladin Sas look around, maybe Legion is more popular there than armada. I know I’m local to ffg’s Game Center and legion is on every single week. Can’t say that of armada. We like to joke that armada’s two players support the game :-)
Caleb Mott cheaper than GW’s games. More expensive than X-Wing (well as long as you aren’t buying everything in xwing). You can technically build an army off of one core set, one atst, and one stormtrooper pack. And it may not be tournament viable but it will be viable for home casual games. I’ve won 2 of 2 games with that list (although after that I bought more and changed up what I was running)
Honestly, seeing the Scout Troopers really inspires me to make Imperial Commando/Special Forces scout troopers that are all black. Make custom units out of them!!

That's a fair point. I've got to admit that it's more difficult than you'd imagine trying to look at what you're doing through a camera lens instead of looking at your own hands! Perhaps I'll reconsider my methods in the future.
I can't stand that they have not been releasing the equivalent expansion for both sides at the same time. I only play Impire. It's been annoying seeing the Rebels with their scouts!

The Staggered releases are a pain and keep unbalancing the game. Oh and the next drop is the Emporer and Guards I believe. Rebels are also still up on Commanders but don't have an operative yet so you could say things are still unbalanced. Just hate this release schedule. FFG also needs to do something to Fix or make vehicles more competitive again. The game is way too trooper centric at the moment. I also don't see the emplacements adding a great deal to the game.
