good God, yes I remember those radios and WABC. Dan Ingrahm and Cousin Brucie reaching down to the Jersey Shore where almost everyone had a transistor radio on tuned to either WABC or WFIL out of Philly.
I still got it. Don't know if it works anymore. A Panasonic with earplug. Used to hang it on the handlebar of my Schwinn 3 speed Racer grooving to Motown jams riding down the streets of the Motor City. Dem were da days, lol
Oh yes!! I was 10 in 1966, given a Lloyd's transistor radio, red metal with silver trim, for Christmas. Still have it a "memory box" packed with childhood items. Took it everywhere, listening to KLIV in San Jose, Calif and KYA out of Frisco. Climbing up into our favorite prune, apricot or walnut tree in the orchards, waiting for our favorite songs to play. Such good memories!

This performance is not from 1970. It's from a show on local TV in Los Angeles. I've been on that show!! In 1970, the rhythm section was Melvin Dunlap on bass, James Gadsin on drums and Al McKay on guitar!!
