She went out of her way to only list cerebral attributes, & saying that's why Lamar's "special", & she stayed away...even with an 11' pole, from any physical attributes, which is of course what makes Lamar special. Why? I'm a woman. Love me some football. But didn't realize how really hard the game is until I actually played Flag Football in my forties. Still fit but no idea how mental the game is.
One of my coaches told me the game is 85% mental and 15% physical and I didn't even understand what he fully meant until I was done playing. Such an underrated element of the game but has the biggest impact.

I haven't heard this much trash talking on the 49ers since the late 90's on through the 00's. And a lot of that trash talking came from people in California. I didn't attend my first 49ers away game until 2022. The fans in Atlanta and Carolina were actually more warm and receptive. After those games, we all kept things respectable. Even when I went to Cleveland, the Browns fans were actually pretty chill with some good-natured ribbing here and there. The point is, the common denominator is the most trash talk I've heard about the 49ers has come from teams I've always hated the most: The Dall$$h0les and the Raiders. Teams that are no longer in CA, but still have a big following there. That, and this recent trash talk really makes you wonder.

THE 49ERS SHOULD RUN THE BALL IN THE 1ST GAME TO THE MAX AS INSURANCE, USE THIS AS A GAME TO BUILD PURDY'S CONFIDENCE FOR THE NEXT GAMES, AND TO KEEP LOVE OFF THE FIELD AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE(if needed--might not be required). *Such that DBs have baited him, batted balls in the secondary, and/or picked him off(not just the Ravens game)...
This is the thing...Brock Purdy is grounded in the simplicity that its Gods plan. Makes him impervious, because hes always forward and resolute that something bigger than we can possibly comprehend writes the story.
When the 49ers lose, it’s Brock’s fault. When they win, it’s the Team and Kyle, and they basically won in spite of Brock. It’s clear example of confirmation bias. All these pundits start from a position that Brock isn’t good. Their bias then manifests itself by never crediting Brock but quickly jumping on any info that confirms their bias: hence confirmation bias. It’s not objective.
It’s not so much Purdy hate but a recognition of the top level talent around him. You could determine more if he was raising the play of lesser players.
I hate when everyone brings up the weapons excuse of why he's just ok. It's not his fault he's on such a monstrous team which in fact is mostly inhouse talent with a few outside pieces. Purdy is a beast and arguably this years m.v.p no doubt.
P.s. Brock Purdy might not have the biggest arm, might not be as fast, or as mobile (and neither were Brady OR Montana by the way) but what he does have...as Chris Collingsworth and many other very reputable football commentators have said...is his ability to go through his progressions fast and analyze and break down the plays so quick in the moment and make the right decisions/throws. Plus his throws and anticipation are sooooooo strong.

Amy Trask was the CEO of an organization that hasn't been to the Superbowl in 20 years and hasn't won a Superbowl in almost 40 years. The Raiders of late, and certainly during Amy Trask's tenure with the team, aren't known for their "great QBs" and let's not forget about the disaster that was Jamarcus Russell which happened while Amy Trask was with the team. It's hard to take opinions about QBs from current or former Raiders employees seriously.

I like both and think both are fantastic QBs. Having a QB as your leading rusher doesn't mean he's the greatest. The best quality I can say for Purdy is he's probably the most efficient QB in the league. I don't know how he ended up, but at one point in the season, he had the fewest pass attempts and the most passing yards. He also has very few rush attempts, but the ones I remember were critical. Perhaps that means he sees the field better. I think he also had the most 10+, 20+, and 30+ yard passes in the league compared with all other starting QBs not counting YAC. Jackson is great, no doubt about it. But Purdy is better than him...period.
Not only does she not watch football...she also dared to sit there and speak about football like she didn't head the ship for one of the worst organizations in football...yikes. Good on Rich Eisen for meeting those Title IX quotas.

Why? Because she's afraid of calling a black QB physically gifted, & trips all over herself to call him cerebral...& Lamar is plenty cerebral, but that ain't what makes him special, but it is what makes Brock special. Even if Brock wins the Super Bowl MVP, I really do think most folks will still behave in this way. I think it will take years of near perfection from Brock to change very many minds, & that is because we live in a world largely absent of objective truths these days. I'm a woman. Love me some football. But didn't realize how really hard the game is until I actually played Flag Football in my forties. Still fit but no idea how mental the game is.
One of my coaches told me the game is 85% mental and 15% physical and I didn't even understand what he fully meant until I was done playing. Such an underrated element of the game but has the biggest impact.

I will always respect Amy Trask for what she did as a leader. It's not easy to survive as a female executive in any male dominated business. Amy didn't just survive but thrived in the front office of one of the toughest franchises in one of the toughest sports there is.

I haven't heard this much trash talking on the 49ers since the late 90's on through the 00's. And a lot of that trash talking came from people in California. I didn't attend my first 49ers away game until 2022. The fans in Atlanta and Carolina were actually more warm and receptive. After those games, we all kept things respectable. Even when I went to Cleveland, the Browns fans were actually pretty chill with some good-natured ribbing here and there. The point is, the common denominator is the most trash talk I've heard about the 49ers has come from teams I've always hated the most: The Dall$$h0les and the Raiders. Teams that are no longer in CA, but still have a big following there. That, and this recent trash talk really makes you wonder.

All these pundits start from a position that Brock isn’t good. Their bias then manifests itself by never crediting Brock but quickly jumping on any info that confirms their bias: hence confirmation bias. It’s not objective.

It’s not so much Purdy hate but a recognition of the top level talent around him. You could determine more if he was raising the play of lesser players.
I hate when everyone brings up the weapons excuse of why he's just ok. It's not his fault he's on such a monstrous team which in fact is mostly inhouse talent with a few outside pieces. Purdy is a beast and arguably this years m.v.p no doubt.
P.s. Brock Purdy might not have the biggest arm, might not be as fast, or as mobile (and neither were Brady OR Montana by the way) but what he does have...as Chris Collingsworth and many other very reputable football commentators have said...is his ability to go through his progressions fast and analyze and break down the plays so quick in the moment and make the right decisions/throws. Plus his throws and anticipation are sooooooo strong.

Amy Trask was the CEO of an organization that hasn't been to the Superbowl in 20 years and hasn't won a Superbowl in almost 40 years. The Raiders of late, and certainly during Amy Trask's tenure with the team, aren't known for their "great QBs" and let's not forget about the disaster that was Jamarcus Russell which happened while Amy Trask was with the team. It's hard to take opinions about QBs from current or former Raiders employees seriously.

He had a better year this year than either of them have ever had. He’s been better in the playoffs in his career. And it seems like everything I’ve seen this week is him below those 2.

I like both and think both are fantastic QBs. Having a QB as your leading rusher doesn't mean he's the greatest. The best quality I can say for Purdy is he's probably the most efficient QB in the league. I don't know how he ended up, but at one point in the season, he had the fewest pass attempts and the most passing yards. He also has very few rush attempts, but the ones I remember were critical. Perhaps that means he sees the field better. I think he also had the most 10+, 20+, and 30+ yard passes in the league compared with all other starting QBs not counting YAC. Jackson is great, no doubt about it. But Purdy is better than him...period.
Not only does she not watch football...she also dared to sit there and speak about football like she didn't head the ship for one of the worst organizations in football...yikes.
