Well this is a pretty amazing episode. What did y'all think about all the new lore that was dropped? And you know who's real name? Plus the name drop of the Big Bad. There's so much to talk about!
This episode was absolutely fucking insane. Dave Filoni has grown so immensely, since the debut episode of season one, it’s scary. Asoka Tano said that Grogu must choose his path. So the three questions are... Who will train Grogu if he chooses the force? Who will train Grogu if he chooses to become a Mandalorian? And, what will happen if Grogu chooses neither of those options? If Grogu wants to be trained, I think the odds are favoring, Master Windu to make a return. Keep an eye on Samuel L Jackson's Twitter. (WIndu, Grogu - has a ring to it). Clearly Windu was tossed out the window, but nowhere did it say he died. It was assumed that he was dead, and we all know what they say about assuming something? Jedi can survive long falls using the force, and Windu was most definitely strong with the force. If he chooses becoming a Mandalorian, then who will train him? I don't think Din Djarin is in a position to train him. Could he give Grogu to the weapon smith? Will Bo Katan take him and give him to someone to be trained? And what of his force skills then? He clearly has skills. Weak, yes, but something he may choose to develop at an older age. Could he be THE Mandalore sometime in the future, wielding the Dark Saber? A true Mandalorian Jedi, as was the first to create the Dark Saber? Asoka Tano's information shows that she is still searching, and by association, most likely Sabine is too too, for Ezra. I'm 90% sure that the old Rebels will be getting the band back together in the future. Building off their old hits and making some awesome new ones. Jokes aside though, it has been said that Asoka Tano will be getting her own Disney+ series. Everyone that Asoka knows will most likely be in it. But I'm pretty sure Disney will avoid any overt association to the animated series in the naming of the series. I think Asoka Tano's series will follow her, like The Mandalorian follows Din Djarin. What is clear is Kathleen Kennedy is gone within 6 month's time, and her replacement will be perhaps the most important appointment in Disney's history. Disney learned, through Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, that Star Wars really is is a cash cow when done correctly. All they need is someone that loves Star Wars enough, that doesn't have a real world agenda to push, to bring back the awesomeness of Star Wars.

you guys get a 10/10 for best reaction and after-chat of ALL the other reactions I've seen. You guys are hilarious and knowledgeable. Very entertaining watching you guys.
Appreciated you guys' reaction to this episode as well. The Asian magistrate that fought Ashoka is a good friend of mine, Diana Lee Inosanto. The reason she's so great is that her god-father was the legendary Bruce Lee (no joke) and it's always funny to hear her tells stories about "Uncle Bruce" around their house growing up knowing what "Bruce" she was referring to...lol. Thanks again for the review, it was fun!
Have been looking forward to your reaction. What an episode, i completely lost my mind when she mentioned Thrawn. I think I had goosebumps throughout the whole episode. Ahsoka’s my favourite character in Star Wars and so pleased they done her right in this.
And Boba Fett has some unresolved anger/daddy issues with mace too. Mace was a very close confidant with Yoda as well. So him showing up would make a ton of sense.
Ahsoka is the Gandalf of Star Wars. Amazing character! What Filoni seems to be doing is getting the old Thrawn books, combining them with the new books (the new canon) in order to make him as the "mastermind" behind the organization of the Empire's transformation into the First Order. First... did you notice Morai? We hear her and also see her standing on a tree branch. Second... A friend has a feeling that the Jedi who saved Grogu from the Temple might be Kenobi. Ewan did do some costume tests on the set of Mandalorian... holy crap! Third... The Jedi who will "sense" Grogu.... I think it will be Ezra. I pray to the Force that Rahul Kohli isn't trolling us with his social media posts and is indeed being cast as Ezra! Fourth... Imagine a 10 year old kid starting his Star Wars experience with Mandalorian. That kid will grow up along with Grogu. When that kid is a college student, it will see Grogu as a grown up Jedi in future movies and remember that a Mandalorian saved him. That bond is priceless! And yeah... the Ahsoka - Grogu scene was perfection. The way Dawson acted with that puppet was... amazing! Don't get me wrong. I liked the sequel trilogy. I freaking had a blast watching Episode 9. Yes the sequel had issues. Yes the sequel didn't reach its true potential. But I liked it. This episode though... this episode was a Star Wars experience.... P.S. Something tells me that Filoni will take over Rey for the future series/movies. Rey with Grogu as Jedi Masters perhaps. If that happens and if the rumours that Rey will give birth to twins (one evil, one good) is true.... oh the potential in this is vast! But for now, the more immediate potential of Star Wars is f...ing huge!!
I just wanna give you guys a hug. I love watching this “with” you because I love your excitement and passion for the amazing work that’s being done here.

Everything you lads asked for in your post episode banter is coming true! The way Adam pretty much nailed the future direction is awesome! SW is in amazing hands, finally! Bring on the FILONIVERSE!
My favorite fan theory is that mace windu could be alive to train grogu. Sam jacksons in his 70s now so that would be about windus age around this time frame, if he survived episode 3.
You guys have brought me such joy! A friend sent me your reaction video to this episode because I am the costume technician that physically built Ahsoka’s costume for Mando & Boba Fett (along with many other costumes for both shows). My ❤️ leapt when you complimented her costume. THANK YOU for your enthusiasm and joy. I feel so honored to have been part of bringing this to you!
"I want to see cool Luke." I didn't know just how much I needed to hear that, especially from reviewers I trust. If Filoni can somehow fix Luke, give him an ending that doesn't make me cringe, I could finally come home. NOTE: This scene from Battlefront 2 shows Luke at his best; calm, peaceful, humble, kind. In many ways more like Qui Gon than anyone else. th-cam.com/video/Tseqjjk9YgM/w-d-xo.html
Nicely said. I don't play the video games, but that scene really is perfect. "Because you asked" is honestly in some ways a great encapsulation of his character. If you read any of the old EU books, Stover's Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor is one of my very favorite characterizations of him. In the book he struggles with some of the similar things we see in the sequels (basically not knowing where to take the Jedi, dealing with his own baggage, with the temptation to nihilism when things seem dark) etc but ultimately is a character that never gives up and protects.
I understand the emotion, my mom took me to see a new hope in 78 (I'm 46 now) and it forever changed me. Adam... I had the exact same conversation with my wife this morning. I was overwhelmed with the knowledge that all the things I loved about the EU and Clone Wars were coming full circle and actually appearing on the live action screen. When this ep was over I just sat in silence for a while, trying to digest what I had just witnessed. (Also, I had the EXACT same reaction as you when Thrawn's name was mentioned!) @@locarno24 tbf the original books had a clone of Luke grown from his severed hand (and so armed with that lightsaber) that Thrawn gave C'boath as an apprentice
The opening of this episode was a smart move. There are a lot of casual Star Wars fans who never really watched the animated stuff, so introducing Ahsoka right at the beginning, and establishing she is a bad ass does two things. It makes casual fans as excite to see her again in action later in the episode, and it draws casual fans to the animated Star Wars stuff that many of them will not binge on Disney Plus
I've never felt so closely to a reaction before and had someone express my feelings so well. Everything you said about the EU is exactly what happened with me. Just wanted to say thanks guys. I am so looking forward to more. Filoniverse forever!
22:08 "Now that we have live action Ashoka, in our lives..... She and Luke... They need to meet" I'll just bring this up, to remind you that dream sometimes come true, you asked for it, you got it. Short yes, and in a Bobba Fett show, and more talk between them is necesary, but it happened, now just dream that all that talk that we want, will be shown on Ashoka's show.
I 100% agree with you. Samuel Jackson has said in the past he wants more Mace and he defiantly has a connection to Jon Favreau / Disney through the Avengers movies. As far as I know Mace is not confirmed dead, he's just short a hand (as is Star Wars tradition) and was lightning yeeted out a window. But characters have defiantly lived through force lightning attacks and have survived some pretty insane falls...
The pure enthusiasm you guys have in your reactions is amazing! By far the best episode of the mandalorian, I have never gotten more excited in the first 2 minutes of a show.
Back in the 90s, my grandfather had a huge VHS collection and he also recorded a wide variety of movies and tv shows onto blank VHS tapes. Along with a few James Bond movies, he also had the Star Wars movies. Star Wars was my first foray into geekdom. I was born in 1990 so imagine a 6-10 year old boy laying on his stomach on the carpet no more than a foot in front of his grandpa's tv watching space battles and heroes fighting villains with laser swords. Star Wars has a special place in my heart like nothing else. Now, admittedly, I've only seen the movies. No books, no tv shows but Rebels and Clone Wars are high on my "to watch" list. But I did play Star Wars Battlefront on my PS2 only about eleventy bajjillion times. I could definitely play that game blindfolded and one-handed. My disappointment in the sequel trilogy was not as intense as yours but ever since The Mandalorian was released and we were shown "what could be" and "what could've been", I can understand your feelings about the movies. I was aware of Ahsoka Tano, I had heard of her before but I haven't watched the animated shows yet. But even for a fan like myself, this was one of the greatest 45 minutes in the history of Star Wars. I'm so happy we're here, in this moment and I'm so happy we're here together.
This settles it. No more putting it off. I'm spending the rest of my Friday night starting my binge watch of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. 23-24 minutes each, I can easily blow through a sizable chunk of the first season tonight. I'll see y'all on the other side and as always....May The Force Be With You.

But Dave Foloni that man is restoring Star Wars to its former glory.
Well now we know they talked at least even if we didn't see it all
This is what happens when you show the fans respect and the subject matter , It's nice to see ppl enjoy and fall back in love with the franchise , This Is The Way.
Honestly...the way Mando's going it's basically revived my love of the franchise too. Not exaggerating, not memeing to make the sequels seem worse or anything. Just plan falling back in love.
Agreed dude, absolutely agreed.
@@jleos0095 Fuck the sequels ... this episode was Star Wars at it's best ... I would like to wipe out this 3 sequel films that nearly broke the fandom from JJ Abrams and Ryan Johnson from all our collective fan memory :)
@Aunchient Pistol enough blame for them all. And thats from a 1977 saw it in the theater star wars fan. No mercy for any of those clowns.
@Aunchient Pistol I think you're being too harsh on her. She had good intentions but it just didn't turn out well.
“A Spectacular Milkshake of a Show.”

"Not even just fall back in love with Star Wars...like, I'm also a little emotional too."
this episode... this episode was the BEST fanservicing... like all that nerdy good lore people like ashoka and thrawn and a western mixed with a samurai fight.
Oh Yes yes yes. This episode is damn near perfection.
You have better banter than any other reactors. I'm 50% here for the banter. You guys should do some improv bits. I think they'd be great.
Thank you very much. We strive to bring the funny.
@@pReviewd You guys are the best.
I loved that comment: " Dude, you're in trouble. My theme-music just started playing". That made me laught! 😂
That opening is better than the whole sequel trilogy in my opinion
Paint drying is better than the sequel trilogy😉😂
@@susanhubbart5494 ur not wrong I try to forget they exist tbh I wish they went with luke training kylo and his fall to the dark side with palpatine manipulating him instead of what we got that could've been stretched into 3 good movies with kylo maybe even being redeemed at the end of the 3rd one but instead we got a load of shit
Loving Star Wars is loving all of it . Some more than other.
better than the original trilogy and prequel trilogy too.
@@SlimKim3 idk about that but it’s a beautiful opening
Honestly having Ahsoka introduce the child’s name is genius because she has earned such a great name for herself that anything she does or says fans will most likely enjoy. So this gives them an edge on the name of the child.
I wonder how many parents have named their baby girl Ahsoka? I'm old enough to remember when Leia was a popular name among Star Wars fans.
@@echobase1648 fair but I feel Ahsoka is such a strange name that it won’t be as many as Leia.
If you recognize the word "Tython", you have gained my trust... #FILONIVERSE!!!
Filoni for star wars New president
I'm hoping its the gateway to getting a ton of the EU reinstated, like KOTOR.
Cal Kestis may be alive, he’s from the Fallen Order Game
he is defenitly alive right now, and somewhere in the galaxy with the rest of the crew from the "stinger Mantis"
Technically he's not a formal Jedi 😁
@@thomasjuniardi3559 yes he is, he was a padawan and then cere knighted him. I may be wrong and if I am please share with me but from my understanding he is a Jedi. He also has quite a strong connection with the force so he could be the Jedi that comes to look for grogue. Cals voice actor cameron monaghan looks exactly like Cal so it would be very easy for them to incorporate him into the show.
I am definitely holding out hope to see Cal Kestis and maybe even Cere in live action. The Mandalorian is already referencing KotOR and Dark Forces, so why not Fallen Order as well? :D
@@saulgoodman4036 Cere was a fallen Jedi knight, she's no longer part of the jedi order. In Cal timelines there's only two Jedi could knighted him, Jedi Master Obiwan Kenobi and Grand Master Yoda. 😁
"Where is Grand Admiral Thrawn"? MIC DROP
I still cannot believe that we got to see Ahsoka Tano in live-action from this episode.
RD was amazing.
Her mentioning Thrawn is basically Filoni confirming Ahsoka's own show!!!!
I honestly believe Thrawn will make his appearance in the mandalorian maybe not finish his story but show up which will carry over to the Ahsoka show
@@CaptainAmercia I mean season 3 and 4 are already confirmed so we have plenty of time. I want to see a live action Thrawn so bad.
@@CaptainAmercia Yes, maybe...
People: I want to see ALL OF THEM, in a theatrical motion picture, where they can all duke it out, and both threaten and save the galaxy and The New Republic. I guarantee: A The Mandalorian (Winter 2023) movie release would make more money, and please WAY MORE SW hearts, than Episode IX.
this definitely felt like a backdoor pilot to me I think it's telling that Mando wasn't present for the name drop and Ahsoka doesn't seem to have filled him in after the fact

This was by far the greatest reaction video in the history of mankind. You are both awesome in ways you don’t even understand. Take a bow gentleman. Life to Star Wars! This is the way.....
This might be my favorite Star Wars reaction of all time, this is why I like watching reaction videos!
Best. Reaction. Ever. This channel is going to be huge. The ending got me pretty choked up, but to see Adam's love and hope for Star Wars reignite with the intensity of a super nova... now, THAT... THAT was something special. I was all, "Don't you do it... Great! Now you got me doing it!"
Sorry. But also, not sorry.🙂 and thank you.
I'm 48 years old. I have always loved Star Wars. These new shows...are EPIC! I love watching y'alls reaction. I'm in my feelings as well.
This episode made me feel how the sequel trilogy should’ve made me feel.
Honestly, seven-ish hours of this should replace the sequel trilogy.
" dude, you're in trouble my theme music just started playing"
Just like Ahsoka, people have been fan casting Benedict Cumberbatch as Thrawn! That would be incredible!!
Dream. Come. True.
I’m personally hoping for his voice actor, Lars Mikkelsen
@@GorramT Lars Mikkelsen is the only Thrawn for me, his voice is amazing and he and animated thrawn actually have somewhat similar facial structure,

“The Star Wars EU books are what got me into reading.”
Felt this 💯. They made me a reader and led me to becoming an author 🙏🏻.
This episode of Mandalorian was utter perfection. I’m glad to see others that enjoy the show with such passion. You guys are awesome 👍
This show is SOOOOOOO good. Not only does it revive Star Wars nerds of old love for SW, but people who don't even like the prequels love it. Favreau has done an amazing job.
This whole show is just Dave Filoni looking at the haters and being like "Look whose laughing now"

you guys get a 10/10 for best reaction and after-chat of ALL the other reactions I've seen. You guys are hilarious and knowledgeable. Very entertaining watching you guys.
Thanks! 🙂
Thank you sir. I hope your friend the magistrate shows up again in the future, as she kicked some ass. 🙂
@@pReviewd me too! She couldn't even SAY anything about her role until the episode aired. The Mouse keeps everyone on a tight leash...lol.
Have been looking forward to your reaction. What an episode, i completely lost my mind when she mentioned Thrawn. I think I had goosebumps throughout the whole episode. Ahsoka’s my favourite character in Star Wars and so pleased they done her right in this.
I SO hope it's Mace Windu that comes to train the child. If Maul can survive being cut in half and falling Windu could too.
And Boba Fett has some unresolved anger/daddy issues with mace too. Mace was a very close confidant with Yoda as well. So him showing up would make a ton of sense.
Jon Favreau found the key to soul in cinematography.
Holy Crap that was Michael Biehn!
And he had a shotgun. Perfect
Go with him if you want to live
When y’all said “LET THA BODIES HIT THA FLOOR”.....OMG 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just wanna give you guys a hug. I love watching this “with” you because I love your excitement and passion for the amazing work that’s being done here.

Hands down your guys' best reaction ever. I felt everything you did and I was crying watching you go through it. Jesus, this show has rekindled my childhood joy. I am so ready for this ride!!
I love it when she smiles at the end.
'Cool (One) Hand Luke'.
Mandalorian is making up for the travesty of the 3 movies Disney released.
Nice cameo for Michael Biehn, and the Magistrate is Diana Lee Inosanto (Bruce Lee's goddaughter irl) and today is the anniversary of his birthday.
I love seeing two grown men getting emotional over Star Wars. This is the way.
I've watched this reaction like 7 or 8 times. I tear up every single time that Adam tears up.
Adam you’re so wholesome! My heart! The mention of Anikin shattered it and you put it back together!
(Also, I had the EXACT same reaction as you when Thrawn's name was mentioned!) You nailed it, though... this is making me fall back in love with Star Wars again. And I couldn't be happier about it.
If they're doing Heir to the Empire......oh, f**k. What if, instead of C'baoth; Thrawn's "pet Jedi" is a clone of.... Ezra?
Alternatively it could well be Luke, recast young.
Remember the 'good story for another time' has yet to be told...
@@locarno24 tbf the original books had a clone of Luke grown from his severed hand (and so armed with that lightsaber) that Thrawn gave C'boath as an apprentice
@@CarbonMage that's what I meant. We know where the saber ultimately ends up, but that doesn't mean more or less the same can't happen.

They need to meet"
I'll just bring this up, to remind you that dream sometimes come true, you asked for it, you got it. Short yes, and in a Bobba Fett show, and more talk between them is necesary, but it happened, now just dream that all that talk that we want, will be shown on Ashoka's show.
If they brought in Fett that responding Jedi is Mace Windu.
They only one that makes sense.
Don't forget Luke is still around, most likely getting around to tain new jedi
This is the best reaction I’ve seen, I’ve watched it 4 times so far and the reaction when they mentioned Thrawn still gives me chills !!!
I love your reactions to this show and how it affects you. Can not blame you for getting emotional for this one.
13:58 "It looks like a Mortal Kombat level" lmfao
