Well thanks to you, I am now Googling Switch-Pro products. Spendy, but I can completely see the range of useful options, simplicity, and safer cleaner wiring involved. Thanks Jason!
insaynbcr “finding ways to spend our communities hard earned cash since 2017”🤣🤣🤣. It really is worth the money though if for no other reason then it makes wiring %500 easier and there’s only one connection to power rather than fuses and relays etc so much less to fail
iv had this on for about a year , love this product , quality is top notch! highly recommend . only down side is connection issues with bluetooth if you are already connect to your cars bluetooth , other then that perfect system
FYI: Switch Pro advises against mounting the unit horizontally, as you show in your video. The say it may expose the contacts to collect moisture, whereas mounting it on a vertical surface would provide for drainage instead of pooling.
i’ve had the Auxbeam for 2 years now with zero problems it’s a quarter the price and does what i want it to do i don’t understand what justifies a $700 switch
Awesome I’ve heard good things about the Auxbeam but never had any personal experience with it. It’s solid state as well? Out of curiosity does it have an app that can control the switches, and can you dim/strobe the lights not that it’s necessary it’s just nice to be able to dim the lights for camp purposes.
Love the video and love switch pros. Are 8100 developed an glitch and SP customer service was excellent in sending us a new 9100 as a warranty replacement. Did you tap into your puddle light circuit to use as an external trigger for your rock lights? Do they turn on and off like the OEM did? Thanks.
Am just curious what your comparing it to when you say "one of the smallest in size" after you said "its the only one on the market" o.O Just having a stab haha, Good review :P
@@oxoverlandfamilyadventures4656 I sort of got the idea haha, I love the switch!! I want one but after checking the price they are probably the most expensive one on the market 😜
Not sure the specifics on the antenna but it comes standard in the 4G-x OTR. And no I’m doing the dual control on our trailer so I haven’t tackled that project yet.
Nice video! Just curious, would it be beneficial to have a cover for the switch-pros mounted in the engine bay to cover it from water and dirt from building up?
Does this need to be wired to an ignition fuse/wire? I’d like to be able to turn lights on with a secondary battery without having to wire it to any additional power besides the battery it self. I’ve bought 2 systems that would only turn on being connected directly to the battery or accessory ignition position, meaning the panel itself would be constantly on, or would only turn on and only power any lights while the car was on itself.
Carter Gibbs I hope I’m understanding you right but no i don’t believe it needs to be connected to and ignition wire to work. I have this on my trailer as well and it works fine with no ignition and yes you can control it without having the ignition on.
OXOverland Family Adventures that’s a relief! I spent the better part of my day off installing an off brand accessory switch assembly only to find out it wasn’t going to work the way I wanted. Thanks
Murdock no I just ran a power wire from the SP to the WeBoost brain that’s mounted in the rear driver storage cubby. If you watch the Walkthrough vid of my GX it shows some of it.
Bruce Allen Smith easy enough to look up but it’s cheaper and better than any other equivalent $549 on Amazon the arb Linx and the spod are at least $100 more and are inferior to the sp9100
@@oxoverlandfamilyadventures4656 thanks for response, and yes, I can Google, It just seems that if I'm doing an info video, a key component of "info" is price.
I’ve only had a first hand looks at it once it’s pretty bad ass. Don’t know a whole lot about it. I’d love to take a look at a working system. At face value it’s a strong competitor for the switch pro

helpful, thanks. seems like an awesome solution to the electrical problem for my 4Runner too
One of the best mods I did

Abdeali Tarmal best on the market. There’s really nothing that compares
That is awesome! Love the idea of having it hidden/mounted in the sunglasses holder!
It’s a Bug’s Life right! It was to small for most sunglasses anyway so it was a good reuse of the space.
FYI: Switch Pro advises against mounting the unit horizontally, as you show in your video. The say it may expose the contacts to collect moisture, whereas mounting it on a vertical surface would provide for drainage instead of pooling.
Corbet Campbell yeah I read that I’ve yet to see moisture on it and it stays pretty warm in that area so I felt like it was ok
Nice video, 4 years later, is the app still a negative? I just got one for my bfs taco for Christmas and cant wait for him to open it.
Yep still the same lame app unfortunately. It’s definitely functional but it’s very basic looking
just ordered mine, can't wait to install it
TatsuyaDragon Hell ya you won’t regret it. Best on the market

just picked one up to run on my drift car.
So far so good!
Suicide Garage you won’t regret it best switch system on the market
Are you running the whole car on it? Fuel pumps etc?
Do you know if you can get This in a 4 switch only. I do not need 8 circuits plus it’s too big for my truck. So 4 would be perfect. Thanks
Fred

What was the external antenna you used for the weboost? I also have a SP9100 and love it ... great vid by the way !
Did you ever get the SP-9100 daisy chained control heads to work? If so how was it done ... very interested... thanks again!

@@Overlandtravel_adventures that’s awesome I’d love to visit one day I’ve heard it’s beautiful. Love the tacos what are your plans for it?
Do you think that the sun glasses holder mount would fit for a f-150?
That’s a hood question my guess is no but you’d have to ask expedition essentials that’s the company who makes them
Nice video! Just curious, would it be beneficial to have a cover for the switch-pros mounted in the engine bay to cover it from water and dirt from building up?
Alex Whitney yeah probably they actually recommend you mount it in the vertical position but I ran out of space.
They won’t warranty it if it’s laying flat and something goes wrong.
Getting ready to install mine. Concerned about routing via headliner. How did you do that?
it was pretty easy just slid between the headliner and windshield

Tom Ma here’s what I use there not the brightest but there fun amzn.to/2OHrbjl
I would like to think you know the difference between a trailer and a rig?
Jason Molihan oh you would, huh? Not sure what your referring to though.
So did you need to get the blue sea systems bus bars etc?
Jay Burke yes bus bar and we did a blue sea fuse block in the rear
Do you need to run fuses to your accessories when using this
Nope that’s the beauty of it no need for fuses or relay’s it’s all done internally
Awesome
How did you wire the WeBoost to the SP-9100?
Murdock just wired the power wire to the switch board

Can someone with absolutely the bare minimum knowledge of electrical and wiring in general self install a system such as you mentioned? (Switchpro)
Why is it that everyone fails to
