gerardo covarrubias i'd suggest not worrying about "styles" and choose a reputable school that mixes multiple styles to get the best of each and leave the useless stuff behind. the truth is, no one "style" is better than the others. if you want to get into olympic karate or something similar, you will be taught how to win in the olympics. if you want to learn real martial arts that focuses on real world applications and leave the "woo" behind, i'd suggest an MMA school/dojo.
