    What's legitimate about these techniques is they address the true reality of combat. Ending a threat with extreme violence, then engaging other threats and evading to safety. Or if the nature of the combat is competition only, then the purpose is submission and not annihilation. Its understanding the nature of combat itself, and catering the technique towards that particular end.

    I think the second technique is practical. The first one looks good, but I could think of more efficient ways to get someone on the ground from there... (for instance: foot trap, head pull and chop to the throat to send him down)

    It is amazing how hand2hand ninjutsu resembles original Japanese Ju Jutsu. But it is expected as ju jutsu was the art of the samurai

    Love your techniques, keep doing what you do best, I've incorporated some of them into my Aikido training with my students since we both come from a jujitsu background hope that's ok, hopefully one day I'll come out and train with you, it's a long trip from Arizona to Ohio.

    I used to teach blocking techniques now I avoid most blocks...the problem is most blocks typically waste more time and energy to be effective.

    Why the. Yellow and red colored belts? That's not part of the bujinkan. Making your own stuff and rules its like changing your religion to suit your wants amd needs which is idolitry and white gi/ shozuko?

    I would like to see a true sparring. When you learn the technic and do it on someone who don't resist, it's normal that the technic always work. However, the importance of sparring is crucial in the sense of if your opponent can resist you or know how to counter you. What would you do next against the opponent? I try to find any sparring in ninjitsu, but didn't found one. I know you'll say that ninjitsu is dangerous and maybe that's the reason why in ninjitsu they don't do real sparring. However, in my dojo (Brazilian jiu-jitsu) we learn dangerous technics like on how breaking your arm or takedowns who can really hurts you etc. We do full contact sparring after the class and try the new technic we learn. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it will not. If your opponent counters you, you need a other technic, is like a chess game. Ninjitsu intrigues me and I'll keep watching and searching for some answers.
    Thank you

    • @thedojomartialarts
      @thedojomartialarts  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Alexandra, who said we don't resist, roll and spar, etc.? Remember, you are only seeing one snapshot of one class one one particular day. What you see on TH-cam is about .00001% of what we do here at the dojo. Watching a "sparring video" would be extremely boring, so we don't upload those. Please never assume things about Ninjutsu (correct spelling) that you do not know about. You would love all of the things that we do on the mats that you will never see unless you come and train with us. You are always welcome. Thanks and good training to you.

    • @ScorpioMotivation
      @ScorpioMotivation 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, in my opinion watching real sparring is more convincing than just watching technics on someone who don't resist. I didn't assume anything, just said the truth about seeing no videos of sparring. Once I saw a video when two guy was fighting with katanas. It's seem you got a lot of grappling game in "ninjutsu", but never saw one video of sparring. Like I said "ninjutsu" really intrigue me and it will be more than interesting to see real sparring. Anyways, I think we both have our own opinion on that. Have a good day and good continuation in your journey.

      I do believe that in ninjutsu that hand to hand was limited and that it was only used if they where disarmed.There is some don't get me wrong but a ninja would rather shoot you with a bow or use a blade.Exellent swordsmen and with weapons.They had objectives to infiltrate and eliminate.So really not a whole lot of need for hand to hand.Since no one uses swords and such more hand to hand techniques have been implemented.

    Really good stuff. I like how these jutsu are centered around weapons and battlefield warfare. I’d imagine that without the Gi sleeve, you could just as well grip the bottom of your opponent’s tricep.
    I’m a Gracie JiuJitsu practitioner but I like this a lot. Really nice stuff. 👍🏻

      It would be more militaristic and serious. Also this is just one part of Ninjutsu. The other part includes the conditioning of the mind so that shinobi are willing and able to assassinate anyone, including kids and pregnant women

    Reminds me of street fighting techniques, where the goal is to devastate and incapacitate (and possibly kill) the enemy in as few movements as possible to have time to flee or engage another target.

      That's not true any art can have their sportive part to train among themselves without hurting anyone .. in peace times samurai went inside Dojos to train and compete between clans without the killings and mutilations of war , and the sportive part of martial arts started ....
      Also there were masters 2 to be exact of the Togakure Ryu that fought in the early ufc . .
      Here it is Togakure Ryu kicking ass ... enjoy

    Sal Pinzone >>> Now you DO know that they have to kill you for stealing secret ninja-techniques don´t you? ;) Just kidding. Like the technical things about Ninpo. So "Of course"-like when you see it. But why don´t we all not see these things? The old ninja´s must have been very imaginative people. Some of it is much like I fought when I was a child, but then sports-martial arts with all their rules ruined it.
