This is just a crazy theory that I thought about but it may end up becoming true if this does happen. And goes to the mysterious figure that attacked Jason and how she said in her own words "I am a part of your past, but I am also the future." and in this gives me some thought as to who it could be. 1.) The first part of my theory is that it could be Trini somehow reborn for an agent of evil, with the soul purpose that Rita and Zed's magic could have infected her without anyone knowing. 2.) The second one which may or may not happen could be Kimberly's daughter, Olivia Hart, is doing this out of personal revenge against her mother and the rest of the Rangers for feeling that they had abandoned her father when the Moon Palace was destroyed. Hence why she ends up regaining the powers of the Green Ranger, but instead of being under an evil spells she's just doing this under her own personal volition.
Talk about a great way to kick off this alternate story about the Mighty Morphin team and what has happened after they defeated Rita and Zedd. Plus it does seem kind of strange seeing Kimberly suffering from PTSD and even calling out Zack and Billy for continuing their experimentations with the morphing grid even though they promise not to become Rangers again even after 22 years.
I picked up this issue today, I REALLY liked it especially the backstory on Jason and why he became a vigilante. I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds.
Doctors say that people who experience trauma or depression can shut down and push people away to isolate themselves as a negative coping mechanism. Watching a loved one get brutally murdered or die horribly in front of you would do that. Anything Ranger related triggers Kimberly because of what she lost. The way she is drawn in this issue really reflects her mental state, she seems fine but there is a dullness in her eyes, like something in her soul is broken and she has crows feet and bags under them. Someone has had years of PTSD induced nightmares and it has worn her down.
It might feel too painful for Amy to write about JDF. Those two were good friends, and well...his death really hurt her. If it hurts too much, then she needs to do what she needs to do.
So in this alternate dimension Rita and Zedd actually did become a happy couple like how they did in the show but in the other dimension Rita and Zedd became enemies and were on each other's throats like how we've been seeing in the comics of the original alternate dimension.

I got 2 theories on this SELENA. 1) She’s either a clone of Trini that Billy created to keep Trini’s memory or a twisted sleeper clone of Rita Repulsa. 2) She’s really that cloaked chick that pwned Jason early in the issue.
A possibility for the hooded villain as a Crack pot thoery is Delcea, they never met her as the Movie timeline didn't happen and the team had not progressed to the point of needing the Ninja powers from Ninjor. She was an ally of Zordon who from what I remember of the prolouge had his tube destroyed, which is was lead to the Rangers bringing the fight to the moon and leaving a large crater where the Bandora Palace once was.
Just with this issue I think have a theory on one character..olivia. so seeing Tommy died in 2001 after the big battle. I'm going to presume Kimberly found out she was pregnant after the events occurred (could be she and Timmy knew she was pregnant and after the battle planned on retiring and getting married). When she had the baby it wa just too traumatic for her so she entrusted the baby to be raised by her family, after naming the baby in honor of her father Olivia (Tommy's last name). After which Kim left the country and changed her name further distancing herself from that painful time. At least this my theory.
The art is amazing, the Rangers look just like in the show. That's why I couldn't get into the earlier comics, some of them make the Rangers look like Funko figures.
I wonder someday that they would do a crossover with the older power rangers in the boom comics. That would be interesting to see the older power rangers meeting alternate versions of themselves. The older power rangers seeing Tommy as the white ranger and Trini as the red omaga ranger.

Well, it's an interesting story, but in Once and Forever it was explained who has the Red and Pink powers: Rocky and Kat, because Kimberly, Jason and Tommy were kidnapped by Roborita, so probably Kat has pink power and Rocky has red power, and I wonder what happened to Min, Trini's second daughter. Could it be that Trini had three daughters: Minh, Selena, and another girl (I don't remember her name). Perhaps Rita has done something, or something has happened on Aquitara that Kimberly no longer wants to deal with the powers of the force.

Another idea was for a sequel to Once and Always, where Billy and Zack find out that Jason is alive and Trini and Tommy have died. They set out to find Jason and Kimberly before it's too late
To be clear this is a different universe from the drakkon universe where Kim becomes the ranger slayer and separate from the rebooted new timeline after shattered grid right

I suspect it was Tommy sacrificing himself to save Kimberly. She probably did a stupid mistake and Tommy saved her.

Me too, especially since it says Tommy died the same year as Trini, maybe Jason was involved in 9/11 and has PTSD.
I did enjoy reading it, An interesting take on MMPR with alot of twists and turns. A darker take on Once and Always a Ranger.
I love the small lil easter egg that, "Zack" is missing a finger just like his real life counterpart, "Walter Jones's"

Yeah this issue was actually great and the start was very good I enjoyed it a lot and look forward to the second issue.
