Now that Pie looked really good, and I have mentioned that I am not really into sweets. But that reminds me of a Story when I was working at that BBQ restaurant in Atlanta GA. I worked there for years and I always tried to a good job and help out the Waitresses whenever I could. Well after working there for a few years, and helping out the Waitresses somehow my Birthday became synonymous with Who can make the Best Cake for Mark's Birthday. So many Good Cakes over the Years! But one Waitress was from Germany originally and I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night Dreaming of her German Black Forest Cake!!!

Food looked fabulous and the key lime pie scrumptious. I use to live in Miami, Fl and ate my share of it. I immediately started cracking up at the story. Imagining you 2 big guys rolling around the hallway and Sam's pants split and then standing in the closet while Miss Pope sewing them up had me rolling brother!! When I was kid, my parents used to go to a restaurant called Poboys. Do you know it? It was the first time my family had country food (my folks are from Asia) and we loved it. I’m hoping I find this restaurant in your archives. Maybe you know it? If you do, or if anyone here knows, can you respond with the info? I’m going to fly there one day soon to go again (or some where like it)! I need a huge helping of biscuits and gravy!

That place was a grocery store in the 60s and 70s and had a brisk lunch crowd I worked on a farm several miles down the road and lots of farm hand would get lunch there. Ramseys came later. They have several locations around town. Their Meatloaf is good and the fried green tomatoes are great as well. Oh I get tarter sauce to dip my banana peppers in.LOL

Some millionaire built it back in the 60’s and went broke before it was complete. It was going to be his home. Now it’s a bed and breakfast hotel. Really great place to stay I heard.

Is there any relation to the Ramses on Bardstown Road? It's been years since I have eaten there but I recall a totally different, yet versatile menu... I'd have to look up the menu to confirm, but the other Ramses was open for only a little while off of Brownsboro Road and didn't succeed before shutting down and I never had a chance to eat there. This place looks great but I don't make it to Lexington too often.

Haven't availed opportunity to glance at the menu, but I can say without fear of contradiction, they had Lamb and curry dishes and things of the sort. It's been since the '90's since I was there and I don't remember it being poor quality food ( if you like that sort of cuisine).
Actually I am front Southern Louisiana and cook and eat lots of good food. I was just so impressed with Kentucky because other states had different misunderstandings about Kentucky. I see different.
