    Matt: Wearing a cowboy hat.
**I roll my eyes** me: WHY?
Matt: Pastry, it's for the fans!
Me: Okay that makes sense. Anything for the fans

    Hiii
I just wanted to leave my first comment on this channel to let you know that you helped me and a lot of my lgbt friends in finding out in who we are, and explained a lot of stuff to me that I thought was just weird. You helped me a lot understanding lgbtqai+ standpoints and getting the biggest parts of internalised homophobia out of me, and I am very thankful for that.
I wish you a good day from austria, and stay as wonderful and gay as you are.

@@PoweredByRainbows I literally can't thank you enough. Not only did your videos keep me learning, but they helped me to understand others, and to not judge. And now I am a 14 year old, one of the 2 regional pansexuals, 1 of 2 regional genderfluids and the only polyamorous and demiromantic person. Especially understanding the demiromantic part helped me in knowing myself, I just thought I was super weird.
Thank you and the whole team sooooooo much

Different colors in the corresponding pocket makes it easy for the Leather community. It's easy to shop, I don't know if it's the same anymore. The few times I go out now I still use the hanky code, I'm 61. I'm pretty sure the colors have expanded, I stick to Black, Yellow, Blue and Red in that order in my left pocket, wink.

  • @pleasurepanda3285

The video on what the colors mean has been removed ☹

It’s still online but it’s only available to people using a TH-cam account for someone over the age of 18 and is restricted to over 18 only due to the nature of the content. But if you trick TH-cam into thinking you’re 18 you can see it. Sorry for any inconvenience.

One thing I do sorta miss are "gaborhoods." When I first came out back in the late 1970's, places like the Castro in San Francisco were genuinely places where LGBT people could assume most other people were either gay or pro-gay. The products in the stores reflected this. I'm glad we aren't still forced into those places, but I miss going out for brunch on a Saturday or Sunday and people-watching.

Why does the handkerchief have to be placed in back pocket? That would have never been the place I look at first.

The hanky code like polari, language of outsiders not just gay men, is thankfully a thing of the past. We should keep our history in mind and remember it but we no longer need to live with it. That includes remembering it's inherent sexism and genderism. We need to accept the bad as well as the good,

I read that in the 40s and 50s men would wear a solid red tie as a flag to other closeted gay men.

Up until the mid 2000s, American Gay Culture and History was a multi-varied and large pool of gaz-millions of small local gay cultures trying to survive not getting arrested or killed for having Gay Sex. All of them were trying out different versions of semi-same techniques and systems. No ONE City/Town's gay population figured EVERYTHING out and posted it on the internet for everyone to read the TLDR tweet while also scrolling through their porn feed. It took chance encounters and time for the American Gay Culture to slowly start becoming uniform.
My suggestion is for you to power down any other device you have, close all your tabs & apps, and focus for all of 10 minutes on this man's knowledgeable video. He isn't talking BS. This is truth and, if you're one of us Friends of Dorothy, it is YOUR history. You can only benefit from the knowledge of what our Betters went through to participate in just a small fraction of the sexual and social realms we enjoy and take for granted.
