The Montana, while smaller than the Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz, boasts clever features and stylish design elements. And there are numerous indications that the Montana might soon make its way to North America. So, in this video, we are going to go through why we think Ford is gearing up to introduce the Montana and why it might be the best rival to the Ford Maverick that we have seen so far.

A vehicle from Brazil won't have enough Crap That Will Break Down. GM will have to add that for the US market to achieve the level of unreliability US consumers expect from GM products. The government will also require that the engine be strangled to meet their completely unrealistic "efficiency" and "emissions" standards. Once the necessary changes have been made, I'm sure it will be what everyone expects from a GM product.

The US market probably would be hyped for a second and ignore it because it just looks like a blazer with a bed, its design fails in comparison to the maverick

I'd rather have the Maverick as it looks more like a truck compared to the Santa Cruz and whatever that abomination from GM is. Plus GM will put their garbage 1.4L in it and it will be lucky to last 60k miles before the engine dies.

Yo have you seen what Toyota has done with the v6 hybrid for 2024 the engines that are Blowing up. Front end crackling (tfltruck). Frames rusting. Now what do you have to say?😂
It needs at least a hybrid engine. Until then it isn't a Maverick.
Hybrid doesn’t really fit in a truck honestly
@@TechTeamCommunity If they want Maverick sales they have to sell the hybrid option and in a year or two a plug-in version. This is what the younger kids want. Maverick also has stl files so you can make your own interior options to meet your needs. GM has a lot of work to do.

All of those guys clutching to their 1st gen Tacomas and Frontiers are doing do because they're dirt cheap to operate and occasionally use as a pickup, not because they want to say they can tow 14,000lbs (despite only occasionally renting a jet ski). Hybrid goes a long way towards convincing these people.
Also: a Maverick is wildly popular because it looks like a truck.
The Maverick has already been killed by a lot of other trucks that aren't on the market...

@@TechTeamCommunity The majority of truck owners in the US exclusively drive full size trucks. The dealerships right now are already flooded with new trucks that are difficult to sell, because the prices are too high and the economy is at the lowest it's been during my lifetime. Furthermore, the already familiar mid size truck models are now just as loaded with options as the their full size counterparts (that wasn't always the case, I used to have an 05 Colorado). The final nail in the coffin is power. I can go to a dealership looking for a used truck and it's easy to find a 5.3L V8. People in the US latch onto anything that is a 5.7L V8 or larger, plus the diesels.
Yes you’re right but it’s not to expensive so maybe it’s a good alternative for the people.
People want a small truck , not those full size behemoths. The hybrid maverick is especially popular. If GM prices this sub 40k, it will be hugely popular.
I wouldn't give GM any credit...Ford is killing the Maverick in favor of expensive EVs and Trucks nobody wants.

How are they killing the Maverick? They are building them 3 shifts a day and still have thousands of back orders. Ford has reduced their EV production and they have big back orders on their Super Dutys.
