I finally got together my collection of videos from South Africa from this time last year. I can still hear the rain beating down while the thunder roared above our tents. Half terrified of water flooding our tent half amazed at the power attraction between the positive charges resting in the ground and the negative charges building up in the bottom on the clouds that create lightening. ⚡️⁣

Always remember to be a conscious traveler when going to such places. Consider the purpose/intention of the place you are going to. Is it for solely for human entertainment or does it serve the wildlife it contains? This footage was taken at two different conservation reserves that were created to provide the native animals with a safe environment with the overall goal of a self-sustaining ecosystem. ⁣

Some things I learned this trip: ⁣

🌾Elephants consume 6-8% of their body weight a day and the ones without tusks tend to be more aggressive than ones with tusks to compensate for their disadvantage🐘⁣

🌾 White rhinos are grazers (eat grasses), black rhinos are browsers (eat trees and bushes)🦏⁣

🌾Warthogs are awesome, period. And their babies are the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.⁣

🌾 Although there are theories no one knows exactly why Zebras have stripes and they will consistently stare into your eyes while defecating. 🦓⁣

🌾 Always double check that you packed cutlery in the lunch kit 😂⁣

Our Earth is a pretty amazing place. Let us continue to protect and conserve it.
