CanJam NYC 24: HiFiMAN's New Desktop DAC/Amps + Interview with the Company's Founder, Fang Bian!

Next up at CanJam 2O24 is a private interview that we were granted with Dr. Fang Bian, the founder of HiFiMan. In the interview Fang introduces us to two new DAC/headphone amplifiers, the EF499 and EF500 ($299 and $459, respectively/both USD). These small-footprint components promise to offer very high value and look great. They also serve as headphone stands.

Thank you, Dr. Fang Bian! I purchased the EF499 as soon as I heard about these a few weeks ago. I love it so much that I purchased a second one for my second location. I use them as the Headphone Amp setup on my nightstand next to my bed. I use a Wiim Pro to stream and feed the signal via Coax into the EF499. It has soooooo much power!!! And it is gorgeous to look at as well. These are extremely well made, all metal case and knobs with a clear piece of plexiglass that covers the metal front panel of the unit. They also weigh quite a bit more than I realized; it is VERY sturdy. I love the EF499!!! :-)

@@Thiago_TS_BR Thank you! Yes, I did think about purchasing the EF500. But I love the color design of the EF499 so much, and I love it’s sound - so, I decided I didn’t need to ‘chase’ what slight improvements the EF500 might have to offer. Thanks again.
