I bought all of my minifigures e-bay. You pay a little more per figure but you get the full pack of 12 without any duplicates and in the original boxes.
I ordered 3 of the six packs from the Lego shop on release day. 2 of them were identical, and the other 1 completed the set, so if they had sent me the right 2 I would have completed it with 2, though I specifically wanted a lot of extras. I even went to WalMart yesterday and got about 8 more minifigures and will probably pick up more 1 at a time just to get some extra parts, and especially animal companions.
That is awesome! I completed the previous series the same way. This time, I ordered 4 boxes. Since doing the video, I opened the other 2 and had the same result! Crazy! Maybe if I had only ordered 3, the universe would have helped me out!🤣
I think they should be available online, but if not, that is a bummer. I've seen with previous series that some places actually sell 12 packs! In the long run, if you can download a scanner that works well, you won't have problems. Thank you for watching!😊
I loved your line about we're doin this for science, lol. Ima start sayin that when i go in the LEGO Lounge to build..."Im goin to do science! Leave me alone!" Maybe i should change the name to the LEGO Lab, lol. I'm a scientist and I have important experiments to conduct. Haha. Sucks that you didnt get all 12 from the two boxes...clearly LEGO has figured out a new way to max out profits. Glad you were able to use the scanner to find the missing ones!
Lore dump time: The Lady of Pain comes from an expansion called 'Planescape'. She is the ruler of Sigil, a city that is essentially the crossroads of every plane is the multiverse. When seen in public (never a good sign) she never touches the ground, is anywhere from ten to fifteen feet tall, and does not speak. As you may expect, she is incredibly powerful. How powerful? All the gods in all the pantheons of the multiverse cannot enter Sigil simply because SHE DOES NOT WANT THEM TO.
Wow, she sounds bad-ass! This is exactly the kind of helpful information I was hoping for! Thank you for watching and for knowing your stuff!😎Please feel free to dump as much lore as you want, any time!🔥
@XTRABRIX Heh heh, I haven't even told you what happens if she's out in public, you try to get her attention and she actually notices you. Hint: She's not called 'The Lady of Pain' for no reason...
Great comments. Very informative. I was wondering if there was any way to scan the six pack sealed boxes like the individual boxes so that the boxes inside could be known. I’m guessing not. ☹️
That could possibly work, but you might not get a Dragonborn. The only way to guarantee is using an app to scan the code on the singles. I wish you good luck on your adventure and thank you for watching!😁
@@XTRABRIX yeeeah sadly at about 10 local stores that I've checked other customers have snatched up the remaining Dragonborn Paladins. I'd need a freshly unopened package containing these minifigure boxes to secure one at this point
@@jacobradabaugh6241 Dang, that is the one downside to the the codes! Make sure to check Nobes (Barnes & Noble) and Kohl's, if you have them nearby and haven't already. They are great places to score hard to find stuff! Good luck!😎
I have opened 3 six packs and only got 7 of them I bought 12 single packs also and have 9 of the 12. This cmf though I don't mind all the duplicates. But in each 6 pack I only got 3 unique for the packs.
I pre-ordered 24 individual from lego. Only got 6 unique😮 Ended up buying a case😅 i an splitting it with others and i think I'll give out the duplicates for Halloween or something😂
That is a bummer! The full box is a good way to go though. You would be the coolest house on the block if you had minifigures for Halloween! Thank you for watching!
Lego has unfortunately turned very anti-consumer. Outside of the boxes of 36 there is no way to simply buy a full set, and I even heard that in some cases even those boxes of 36 didn't have 3 full sets...
Well, I will say the CMF's have always been intended to be blind boxes, so I don't think they're doing much different. However, I don't love gambling for collectibles, cards, or loot boxes in games. So, I'd rather blind boxes didn't exist at all. Currently though, whether by design or not, scanning is simple and easier then ever before. So, perhaps, it's not that bad. I went to the store to find 3 specific characters and walked out with those exact characters without gambling. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!😎
@@XTRABRIX I agree it's better now with the scanner, but still I'd like to be able to simply buy the things I want - the whole concept of lootboxes and gambling is very anti-consumer and more importantly, it doesn't fit with the (claimed) family values by Lego.
I don’t agree, Lego as voluntary put code on the box for people who really want to know using a scanner. First series with box didn’t have any scanning code. In my opinion this is a huge win!

That is a good way to do it too! 😁

would love to buy a 6 pack of these, but we don't have them in the uk

@@XTRABRIX yeah, not online. I use the scanners, but its a nice prospect to get a neat little 6 pack that I can keep sealed in the long term.

😎 Sounds like a great place for science! The craziest thing is how my 3 favorite characters were the missing ones!🤣 Thank you for watching!

I've only seen regular UPC codes on the six packs. They don't have the scannable codes, unfortunately. Thank you for watching!
Your 3 duplicates are the exact ones I couldn’t find my first initial hunting for them
🤣Now we know why. They put too many in the 6-packs!
The last one I need is the Dragonborn Paladin thinking of getting a 6-pack and maybe selling the other 5 to a friend for $5

You know you can go to shop and scan boxes to get 12 unique ones?
I was able to get a complete set with two boxes. So sorry you were not as lucky.I was really hoping that was the way to it.
I've been lucky previously, so I think it was just time😂. I'm happy to have the extras though!
I must have got supper lucky cause I just got all 12 in two 6 packs
That is awesome! I'm glad to hear it can still be done! I wish it was more guaranteed, but it is what it is! 😎
