What a wonderful and inspiring story of Karimi. As a Christian, it is deeply heartwarming to see the results of a life committed to the Lord working hard and blessing all who pass by with a smile and quality service from her own business. God bless her.
G'day Mate! Just discovered your channel. My great-grandfather was a Moonta Mine Captain & died @ age 43 as a result of a fall down Bedome's shaft in the 1890s. No OHS back then! He even had to buy his own candles from the Company Store. The formidable Captain Hancock used to take note of attendances at Sunday "chapel" in that Methodist Church, & if you didn't have a good excuse for non-attendance, you may well find yourself unemployed on Monday morning. I was born in 1940s Wallaroo & my Old Man was the Post Master there. I must get back there to have a look through the old Post Office one day. Many a damn good thrashing was had by my brothers & I from The Old Man in the out-house behind the Post Office. Ah, the good old days..!!??
Thanks for the tour. My ancestors were Cornish Miners who lived at Moonta, Its been many years since I visited there and its good to see everything so well preserved.
Mine too. They settled there in 1865 and some family are still in Moonta. In fact, June last year the family installed a headstone on our first female settlers grave. Quite a few descendants met that day.
Another great video. I’m going to the Flinders next week, via Terowie, and afterwards I’ll explore the Yorke Peninsular. You gave me a great insight to whats there. Cheers.
Thanks again for sharing, exploring that area is on my summer bucket list, only an hour away. That school classroom is definitely authentic to that era, it looked like my classroom in the1960s. 😂
These small towns in SA are all fantastic. I was thinking some of those marks on your forehead looked a little suspicious. Glad to see you getting on top of them. I have had many removed with surgery and another on my neck scheduled for the end of this month. Loving your videos. What a great way to see Australia - slowly!
All the best for your surgery recovery. What a wonderful visit to some of our historic towns Terry. That school wasn’t far removed from my prep days at school, . Go well.
I just discovered this channel yesterday (the Terowie video) and I love it. I have similar historical interests, so your focus on the local history, talking to some local and really showing off what the places look like and what's there is fantastic and a bit more interesting than other TH-camrs I see checking out these places.
About 40 mins from Port Pirie there's a bakery at Stone Hut. It's worth the drive if you get a chance. Laura and Gladstone are close by. There's an old Gaol at Gladstone and Laura is home of Golden North dairy
I am from the Bargwanna line , fathers mum, was a Bargwanna, you would have seen the band equipment in the museum , very large and well performed family
🌞I haven't attempted long drives since I had a nanosleep incident after perusing real estate in Wallaroo only with my doggle for company He understood the danger hearing me swear and kept eye contact after that
I live on the copper coast (Wallaroo) and just wanted to say thanks for the video.

Can vouch for Karimi's food. Treated the misses to a yummy breakfast in bed thanks to her. Nice little free amp in town too.
