I think they didn't get it at first. The problem is that even if she hadn't sent the letters, turning to the audience and saying "okay, 1, 2, 3" in this context might have worked. I think that's why he said "hang on, that's just crowdwork" and why the other two were confused about the letters.
Shame she didn't use a more random prompt for the audience because it's a great bit.

I don't care what any taskmaster says... the dad voucher was a 5-point prize. Giving out the real number was a gutsy move and any contestant deserves credit for annoying their family on national television.
Laughing away at these, but can I also take a moment to appreciate your outfits? The pink dress is particularly stunning, and the yellow!

I think you're funny as hell. I know your an Aussie so you actually speak the way you do. For context: me and my sister did theater in high school. She and I are white. She can do a spot on Asian accent. Watching you is like watching her do that accent in reverse.

Perhaps they are for Jenny’s self-confidence on national television, perhaps the producers asked for fancy clothing, probably they’re just there to add some flair to her performance. Their intended purpose was most likely not to enable condescending comments from strangers on the internet further sexualizing women’s bodies at every turn.
