As a Longhorn, I HATED havin this man on the other end! I think Rattler will go far depending on what team an who he has behind, in front an beside him. Just like any other QB ever. We always act like a man can do it all by himself but even Tom Brady an Patrick Maholmes need support, it's part of the game.

SC fan here and we knew he was gonna be the steal of the draft. Terrible O Line and WR core and never once blamed them. True leader and worked GREAT considering what he had to work with

As a Raiders fan who watched Carr every step of the way throughout his Raiders career, I liked him as our qb but because of all the annual turmoil and coaching changes I think it definitely had a negative effect on his career

Nope. I would take away Caleb out of his list because he never played. And looking at last season I would put the following in one tier, close to one another: Geno Smith, Baker Mayfield, Derek Carr, Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, Deshaun Watson, Anthony Richardson. Therefore he is placed between 18 and 25. I would put him only after AR, so 19 would be my bet, but I do understand every other position in this rank just because of last season. I think he will be better. But looking at this list and the other starting QBs in the NFL, there are only ten starting QBs where I would prefer Carr about them (Geno, Mayfield, Russell, Watson, Young, Levis, Jones, Minshew, McCarthy (maybe), Nix (maybe)) and there is also a backup I would like to see more starting for black & gold (Justin Fields).
So I think it is ok to rank him not s a top 20 QB

I’m a saints fan and follow very closely. Rattler is QB3. He’s been very inconsistent but when he looks good, he’s looked great. Give him a year or two sitting and he’ll be the face of the franchise for years to come

That's a pretty hard list to defend (that you know for a fact?) if you look at stats - #16 in QBR, #13 in yards & yards/game, and 10th in TDs & rating. Carr is similar to Dak - he gets a lot of hate based on his name recognition, but he isn't a terrible quarterback.

Lazy research on Rattler. Strictly looked at a few numbers and determined he was trending down his whole college career. When in reality he really improved his first year at Carolina to his second although it didn’t show much in the numbers. Honestly he played out of his mind at times for us. Not only that he showed zero quit, a ton of heart, and made no excuses when he easily could have given the offensive situation. Guy is a stud and y’all will soon see.

Same tier. 12-15th. But dak always had the better team. Top 5 defense for back to back years, zeke was top 3 for multiple years, and a coach that won a Super Bowl the last decade. Carr never had consistency with raiders. 4 head coaches and 6 offensive coordinators. On top of that he had to compete vs chiefs.

He didnt have a good season, but carr has basically had a rebuild year most of his career. He's hardly ever had stability with coaching or scheme. The few times he has, he has definitely improved in year 2.

As a Saints fan, I'll root for him on your behalf. I'm stoked for him to take the reigns in a year or two. I know Carr gets a lot of flak and, I've always thought of him as sort of a "flash in pan" type of guy but, there are few better mentors to sit behind and learn from.
