Glad you found the channel karren and thanks for watching
What a brilliant video I always walk past here and think how sad for these people passed away and just forgotten 😔
yes such an amazing space
Just came upon this channel, and it's fantastic. You're a wealth of information for your local communities during the 18th and 19th centuries. Looking forward to more of your content.
Welcome aboard!
Another brilliant video gents. Our councillor Cat Eccles is looking into this graveyard.
Thanks for the video guys
Brilliant 👏 thanks for info
Thanks for shining a light on this graveyard. Yes, sort your act out Dudley!
Thanks jayne !
The graveyard next to Bottom Church has recently been renovated, I went to look while they were doing the work, it has one of the oldest graves in the area and it also has a nice stone monument with the masonic symbol engraved on it In Sedgley they are currently clearing an old cemetery that is accessible via a dirt road nestled between some houses, there's still lots to clear but it's getting there. I also recommend going to St John's Church in Kates Hill, it's being restored by volunteers and they need all the support they can get, one of their graves houses a murder victim with the murder named on the stone.
Thanks I'll consider visiting
Thanks so much for sharing this and your knowledge and care. Bless you- this is precious history
I love making content for you guys and honouring our ancestors by speaking their names again at the same time
Great vid 👍. I’m from Dudley. Have you seen St Audits channel where he caught them smashing up gravestones behind a church in Henley Stoke on Trent, to make way for a mosque. Some stones dating back to 18th century.
thats awful
I'd be up for helping you matey 😊 keep up the good work ❤
Thanks I'll get a list of folks together it won't be easy but my god it will be worth it... maybe get the council to take the rubbish away for free
It may be a vigilante clean up as some saying it's still private, but I think its council owned
Jay get a page to sort out volunteers who wants to come help clear it up !!! I’m down bro
Great idea mate... needs doing dow it ... such a shame their slowly being destroyed
I'll help out. If u need volunteers
The anatomy act was passed in 1834, mostly before that though a medical doctor would pay a certain amount for the body while the students would pay the doctor to watch the corpse being dissected. After that medical institutions needed a license from the home secretary.
I have a victorian anatomy book which is dated 1853 , it is highly detailed and extremely fascinating.
No doubt it's from that period of medical science and part of the resurrectionists so to speak.
Thanks for the info
.. appreciate it.. thanks for watching also !
Thanks for the video. A number of Welsh surnames here. I wonder if it came about because of the canals? I heard the canals ran right up to Cardiff.
Interesting observation. Thanks for sharing it 👍

It's a shame our dudley is forgotten. It would be nice to try and clean it up
It will happen soon enough, we are waking up to the corruption in government now.. and soon we will take matters into our own hands and clean the town up .
I have graveyard by me in bewdley in the middle of the woods and one grave has a mort safe it’s only tiny so guessing child but it’s rare now that you see those
That's awesome, thanks for telling us... is it all derelict and forgotten
@@BlackcountryhistoryhunterBCHH hi yes I believe 1789 was when they started burying people there..a lady called susan Wowen is buried there in an unmarked grave she was known as the bewdley witch..she apparently grew horns and one was cut off and it’s now on show at the london museum..have a Google and check it out..
Is this the one that has been sold? What coukd they do with it ? I dont imagine you are allowed to do anything with a graveyard.
yes it is. the gentlemen that bought it is going to re build on the footprint he did message me to get in touch but i have not had time so no idea but im sure they need help clearing the site
tried a few times to get in to photograph the headstones to record them but no way in at the times i tried
Well it's wide open at moment 2 ways in rear car park wall and front fence missing, it's used by homeless people at times and it's full of old sleeping bags
full of arthritis now so couldn't be steady on my feet did most of my photography 10+ years ago @@BlackcountryhistoryhunterBCHH
If I'm about, I'd love to help.

How dumb are evil spirits compared to you?
I like the way tarot readers repeat all questions 3x to the 'invisible' entities that haunt you.
My view is they know what I'm capable of, and wouldn't dare think to cross me.
When I reach eternity, I'd find out and repay them for ever and ever. Duh
Are you my first troll.??? Should I be worried 😟 ... I'm not sure as your statement does not make sense
Jamie, I've sent you a message on facebook messenger thanks
I'll check now mrsy
