I just did a painting yesterday that I’ve been meaning to do for awhile but it was hard to find the time especially with school and everything. I used a reference photo that I took at the beach awhile ago and spent a long time on it (I mean 3hrs) but it was worth it because I love it so much. I always say it, but Emily, you have been such a great help with my art progress 🥰💜. I love this painting especially because I like painting palm trees as well!

0:35 but magenta is a primary color Magenta, Cyan, Yellow are the primary colors. That why every color printer is using them, because you can get nearly every color mixed from those three (printers also have black but that is more to save the other colors and not because it would be necessary to be able to mix colors)

It should work since it’s mixed media, I would just be careful to not make the paint to watery if you are unsure because it can cause the pages to bend a lot.

Hi Emily! New subbie and painter here! So you prime your sketchbooks with gesso before you paint? I have the Canson mixed media book, and was wondering if gesso is necessary for it.
Hi.. Im a new subscriber. Im intrested in trying to use oil paints but im afraid of catching on fire lol.. But i would not use any solvents.. Would only use soap and water to wash brushes.. But what would i do with paper towels i use to wipe paint off? .. Love ur videos!
I had the backdrop going nicely but everything got messed up when I tried to add the yellow streaks and purple clouds. The yellow just overpowered the rest of the colors and was too thick and the clouds just look like scratchy blobs. I tried to repaint over them and start over, but then I couldn't mix the colors to match the originals and it all went kapoot.
@@EmilyMackeyArt I feel you, my latest painting for which I am now in the process of editing has this combination (just that the tones are a bit more mellow) so I also enjoyed it a lot. Will certainly repeat the combo. 🤗🤗
I just want to say thank u without u I probably wouldn't have pushed my self and without pushing my self I wouldn't have been as good at painting as I am now i gave up on acrylic painting but I'm still doing water colour and oils I like these mediums better cuz they dry slower but I really appreciate you thanks ❤️❤️ also been a fan since 10 months❤️❤️ also I have tried a LOT of ur tutorials and I really like it so yeah I don't know how to say this but I really can't thank you enough
