Sangiovese 80%, Cabernet sauvignon 15% and Cabernet franc 5%. Crimson and transparent with brown rays and boarder to the rim. The 1993 Tignanello shows sweet flavors of plums, kirsch, tobacco, tar and hints of raisins. On the palate sweet, with aromas of leather, cedar, caramel and almonds. Medium-bodied with supple tannins and vibrant acidity. Best now (November 2011). 90 PS

Variety: Sangiovese, Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet franc
Sangiovese 80%, Cabernet sauvignon 15% and Cabernet franc 5%. Crimson and transparent. Matured nose with aromas of almonds, some red fruits, raisins, tar, tobacco and spices. It has more grip than the 1993 Tignanello and comes along with a refreshing acidity and supple tannins. Medium-bodied. It still has got an amazing juiciness. Expands on the back of the palate and lingers long. Best now through 2018 (November 2011). 92 PS
