I am the designated person at my job who has to tell coworkers that they smell. I am gentle but firm. I always try to find out if it is a medical situation. Sometimes depressed people do not bathe. I never confront the person around someone else. You don't want to hurt the person's feelings but I tell them it is disrespectful to be stinking when you are around other people. There are people in the jungle can be clean. PS. Four grown women do not need to share a room. Two adults per room and each should have their own bed. In college we piled up like that but we were partying the whole night so it didn't matter and we were broke. No one stank and everybody got along.
I had a coworker who had BO. She was given a care package but she still didn't get it. She always carried around body spray and lotion though. I went thru a depression where i didn't bathe for days at a time but i wasn't really working like that so i was home most of those days.. yikes 😳

You are right, they should be told the truth, just you and they quietly and respectfully. I say that because I remember when I was in group therapy, a guy who's a chainsmoker smelled so bad. No one told him about it and we are punished to smell him weekly. Then my friend was talking about a horrible smell that guy had loudly to the group in front of everyone. He was so embarrassed and he claimed he showers everyday and he started to cry. Later I told my friend you should of told him privately away from the group. She claims she couldn't take the smell anymore. I told her there's a right way to go about it and the way she went about it was wrong.
it's NOT! that easy to tell someone they stink, saying that; the person PROBABLY! has become accustomed to the smell & doesn't notice it (which is SAD!), but a true friend would say something, (personally, i would rather a family member or friend say something than a stranger, a stranger wouldn't spare your feelings, hopefully family/friend would).

My wife and i had a suite in AC it cost us only about 300 and it was for the kat Williams show. We had 2 bed rooms a living room kitchen and a patio. Each room had 2 beds in it. So yea you can get a suite in AC for under $500 with shows going on.
This is what I’m thinking. I’m in travel so of course I can get a a suite for crazy cheap, so it’s hard for me to remember rack room rates. but I can’t imagine a suite costing that much in Atlantic City because they make money in other ways.

There are plenty of medical reasons why an individual has BO, weight issues, hormonal, blocked glands, and yes Doug there are foods that can elicit BO as well! There are times that individuals are nose blind to their own offensive odor, if one is a friend, take them aside and kindly discuss it. If they refuse to address it, then make separate accommodations. I certainly would not take the tract JM was suggesting, that in itself is offensive and unkind.

I remember all the times I would hold my breath before walking in our dorm. I would constantly spray and keep air freshener… she never got the hint and it was hard to tell her cause i didn’t even know her. I stayed off campus more than anything. To be fair to the lady I have to get clinical strength deodorant or I'm smelling like musty onions a few hours later. So it could be that. She could just have very sensitive skin like me, that requires lots of attention and care. Either way she needs to go see a gynecologist, a dermatologist, or something and figure it out.

I had a friend who would only bathe once a week. If we went somewhere together, I would constantly tell her the shower/ bath is so luxurious! Go treat yourself. We were gone for four days. She never did. Some people are comfortable with their funkiness. Nasty as it is.

I remember telling this women who came to chill with me at my home back in Miami who had bad smelling feet and I told her so without a problem or hesitancy. One time I stayed in a hotel, it smelled. It was clean and a decent hotel, but I think every hotel has a weird smell. I had to walk across the parking lot to the Target and got air freshener, plug ins, and stuff to clean it. Left it all when I left as well. That room was smelling good when I left. I mention that because I don't see how the defendant did not smell her friend in the car. Maybe it was the hotel that smelled.
I’m not as versed in Atlantic City but 500 sounds a lot for a standard two double room. What hotel were they at? Even entry level suites in Vegas are 500 to 800 generally.
The defendant was wrong for that. She should’ve given her friend (plaintiff) her money back. She even knew her friend was stinky. Plus who wanna sleep in a room that smells and the bed is small.
I wouldn't even feel comfortable sharing a room with people I never met before. That alone is bizarre. It's one thing if it's an Airbnb and you have separate bedrooms but to share a hotel room..... I would've declined or at least book my own room.
I'm just confused about one thing- what was the third S? Why couldn't she just say it? My mind is boggled. Either way your friend should probably see a dermatologist, a gynecologist, or something and figure it out. My mom brought me to a dermatologist when I first hit puberty, we figured out how to solve my sensitive skin allergy (aka what products work for me), and good products for my body odor problems as well since the deodorant and antiperspirants I was using weren't working- turned out I need specific products and can't use anything else, or I will get extremely musky a few hours later. And after that I fixed it- and my siblings and I do periodical musk checks when we go out to avoid this. Never again🤢🙅🏾♀️

Now that I'm older I still do a "pit check" since I know that in the middle of the day, an extra spritz of my antiperspirant spray may be needed if I am out of my usual stuff for some reason (which is extremely rare)- and I don't want to be smelling all day. It makes me feel sooo gross. I don't even like going to bed without taking a bath first 🙃😅. Not sure how she felt so comfortable like that (allegedly). But hopefully she learned.
I tried telling my one friend nicely about her odor and she was in complete denial. Either these people know they stink or their noses don’t work so it’s 2/3 times a lose situation to tell them. Someone might receive the fedback, most won’t.

Some people have bad hygiene due to depression though. So you never know what the cause could be.

If the odor was that bad more than likely someone had an infection of sort. Hopefully whoever it was got the treatment or help they need
To be fair to the lady I have to get clinical strength deodorant or I'm smelling like musty onions a few hours later. So it could be that. She could just have very sensitive skin like me, that requires lots of attention and care. Either way she needs to go see a gynecologist, a dermatologist, or something and figure it out.
I agree she should've stayed home with all that she knew on the drive she probably knew before they booked don't nobody juss stink over night that's a problem she been had unfortunately

I had a friend who would only bathe once a week. If we went somewhere together, I would constantly tell her the shower/ bath is so luxurious! Go treat yourself. We were gone for four days. She never did. Some people are comfortable with their funkiness. Nasty as it is.

She probably had a metabolic disorder. Can affect body odor.
I remember telling this women who came to chill with me at my home back in Miami who had bad smelling feet and I told her so without a problem or hesitancy. So it boggles my mind why someone cannot tell someone else to take a shower if they have a bad body odor. They can't get mad if you're being honest. Be honest people!

One time I stayed in a hotel, it smelled. It was clean and a decent hotel, but I think every hotel has a weird smell. I had to walk across the parking lot to the Target and got air freshener, plug ins, and stuff to clean it. Left it all when I left as well. That room was smelling good when I left. I mention that because I don't see how the defendant did not smell her friend in the car. Maybe it was the hotel that smelled.

I’m not as versed in Atlantic City but 500 sounds a lot for a standard two double room. What hotel were they at? Even entry level suites in Vegas are 500 to 800 generally.

The defendant was wrong for that. She should’ve given her friend (plaintiff) her money back. She even knew her friend was stinky. Plus who wanna sleep in a room that smells and the bed is small.
I wouldn't even feel comfortable sharing a room with people I never met before. That alone is bizarre. It's one thing if it's an Airbnb and you have separate bedrooms but to share a hotel room..... I would've declined or at least book my own room.

I'm just confused about one thing- what was the third S? Why couldn't she just say it? My mind is boggled. Either way your friend should probably see a dermatologist, a gynecologist, or something and figure it out. My mom brought me to a dermatologist when I first hit puberty, we figured out how to solve my sensitive skin allergy (aka what products work for me), and good products for my body odor problems as well since the deodorant and antiperspirants I was using weren't working- turned out I need specific products and can't use anything else, or I will get extremely musky a few hours later. And after that I fixed it- and my siblings and I do periodical musk checks when we go out to avoid this. Never again🤢🙅🏾♀️

@@ButtonsCasey I don't either. I learned the importance of that at 13/14 (when I finally hit puberty, a bit of a late bloomer but oh well). So I'm pretty sure an adult should know better. Now that I'm older I still do a "pit check" since I know that in the middle of the day, an extra spritz of my antiperspirant spray may be needed if I am out of my usual stuff for some reason (which is extremely rare)- and I don't want to be smelling all day. It makes me feel sooo gross. I don't even like going to bed without taking a bath first 🙃😅. Not sure how she felt so comfortable like that (allegedly). But hopefully she learned.

I tried telling my one friend nicely about her odor and she was in complete denial. Either these people know they stink or their noses don’t work so it’s 2/3 times a lose situation to tell them. Someone might receive the fedback, most won’t.

And what is she talking about, nervous? Pickles? She told the plaintiff there was a horrible odor but now she's talking about mothballs and pickles? Also she lied about the queen beds. What hotel would call those queen? That's why she didn't complain to the hotel. OMG and the three S's shower shave and what? Shampoo? I'm confused. This was so weird.

That’s why even on group trips when I travel I get my own room I’m just not a fan of Splitting cost b/w people because somebody always has a issue. Same thing when eating out I’m paying for my own meal/drinks etc It’s just easier than way. Secondly she should have just been real with her friend I wouldn’t dare let one of my friends walk around smelling off. My boy Douglas said “you gotta fix that” 😂😂 had me rolling.
