Lovely dresses Micheline 💖.. I liked the red and black shirt dress with the buckle belt and with the buttons open 👌❤️🖤. We would miss you terribly if you gave up 🙏🤗🥰
Lekala are often my favourite go-to for patterns. To be honest, there's often a very cheap $3-4 pattern within their designs that matches some of the big, four and some of the indie patterns. Much as I love buying indie patterns and big four. Sometimes Lekala's prices make me realise that I can get the same for less money. The only downside is that their instructions are quite basic but I have to confess that each time I buy a pattern their instructions are improving. 😘
You have been very busy! On the red/black dress: I like it open but also like it best with the buckle in front and remember to unbutton the top button - will give it a vertical line. About the pj's : Have you thought of taking some fabric from the top (back length and sides) and add to bottom of pants? Good luck and happy sewing
Thank you Angie. Someone mentioned it would be good for the beach and I think I would have to agree. I'll be going to the beach in the summer so I may take that outfit with me. 😉👍😘
Michelin I am so glad to see all your sewing and I know it's been a long time since you've heard from me but also want to tell you I was thrilled when you put Dee and Dory on wearing the same pattern that you had they are two of my other very favorite TH-cam people. I can relate. Hope you and Brian are doing great
Hi pat, it's good to hear from you. Yes, I came across Dee and Dory last night and was pleasantly impressed by watching their vlog. Thanks for watching pat. Hopefully life is treating you better these days. 😘❤️
I think the Friday pattern company blacktop that you extended to be a little bit longer is adorable on you with those black pants. You should wear it.😊
With your shirt and cullotes, they would look nice with the shirt open and a tank top or tshirt under. Also you might be able to use a bangle and elastic band to make a tie bring the hem length up and to one side.
Thankyou for sharing. All of your dresses were so nice , I liked you in the red and black one the best, it is very slimming on you lovely. Looking forward to your next one .Bless you xx
Fascinating about the glasses. Could you replace the arms of your favourite ones? Love the orange dress but I agree that the neckline would have been better the other way round, or maybe more bateau? It doesn’t look bad - it’s just that I, too, would feel it wasn’t right. The dress is beautiful on you though so no need to change if you don’t want to. The red/ black viscose dress looks great with the buckle tied ( I have a fondness for that from 40s films 😄 Great job on the dyeing. Could you open the neck a bit more. Great to have found your channel 😊
hi Trish, good to hear from you. Re: the spectacles. I suppose you could change the arms or we call them legs, but you'd have to buy a new pair of glasses anyway. sadly and annoyingly all spectacle suppliers don't supply spare parts. which maddens me because I think they should. and thanks for the comments and suggestions about the clothes I've made too. 😉👍❤️
You are looking great Michelin! I have been away and your hair style suits you very well. The open neckline of the grey with pink flowers top suits you very well too. You have a fashion flair that I don’t have but you give me inspiration. 😍
Thank you Sue. Short hair has generally been my main hairstyle throughout the whole of my life. I keep growing it now and again and then I think to myself now I should go back having short hair because it's so much more manageable. And when I ask is lordship what I should do. He always says "well when I met you you had short hair so I prefer short hair" 😉😘❤️
I loved you in the black dress and Japanese waist coat you looked very chic, I also loved the blouse with the longer length shorts you made also, you have been very busy, lovely to see you again online x
I enjoyed seeing all of your lovely makes, Micheline. The vibrant orange dress is very pretty and so is the Lekala dress. I like the red/black shirtwaist belted as well as worn open with trousers. Happy sewing!
Great chatty video, I like Lekala patterns, they are really good & I often find the big four patterns you need to size down. With the red dress where you were undecided about wearing it open, with a tie or buckle - I think the buckle looked much better. Love the black dress with the broach but not so sure about the waistcoat - looks better if you take it in, as you suggested. I’ve got that New Look pattern, think it came with a sewing magazine-your red dress looked lovely. You made me laugh about your black shirt looking like a waiter😅. ❤❤❤
You're such a good sewist; everything looks so professional.I ĺove your outfits with the bla ck tights and boots. The green plaid vest is really stylish!
Thanks Karen. I'm probably not as professional as some people, but I do like my garments to look like they are bought (crisply finished) rather than looking handmade. 😉😘❤️
Ooooo love your purple dress on you and indeed your red/ black looks good with the belt .... Love all your makes tho . Well done for using your stash x
I really do like Lekala patterns. They just seem to fit me so much better than many of the other patents. As I said, there's still some tweaking to do but not half as much as others. And they're so much cheaper! 😉😘❤️
Loved your video. Don't we all think much the same way as each other when trying on clothes. Everyone looks very similar from the back so you don't need to worry about that. What I have noticed today is that you look more shapely when you wear an outfit which is shaped under your bust rather than straight down from the apex. The belt with the lovely buckle so changed the overall look of your outfit, yes, it does draw the eye to it - a belt slims as it gives shape. I like when you have it a bit tighter under the bust - gathered or soft pleats are good visuals. I'm repeating myself Michou so I guess that if you are in doubt, wear a belt. Tie belts don't always help. Your first outfit, I agree, needs the neck lowered at the centre front. If you interface a very lightweight fabric it can refuse to lie flat as there is no weight from the fabric or the interfacing doesn't want to take a crease at the seams. Ask me how I know lol. I am learning a lot from this video because I gained weight during the pandemic and my tummy is now much bigger so I need to learn what to wear and how to wear it. Thank you for your help. Love from Scotland ❤
Hi Eileen, thanks for your analysis. It's good to know others feel about their body shape a bit like me. It's all about trying to disguise the bits you don't want to show. 😂😉 And sadly for some reason those bits seem to multiply the older you get. 🫣😜😘
I think your dress would look better with a scoop neck at the front on you. Currently its too high which sorta makes your boobs too low. Show a bit more flesh at the neck and proportionally it will look better. The swishy long skirt looks really good on you. I would say maybe bohemian, gypsy style.
Lovely dresses Micheline 💖.. I liked the red and black shirt dress with the buckle belt and with the buttons open 👌❤️🖤. We would miss you terribly if you gave up 🙏🤗🥰
Aw thanks Sally that's appreciated. 👍😘😉
gorgeous black, orange and rust dress. Very elegant and hangs well
Thanks. 👍😘😉
You look great in the shirt dress. Undo the top two buttons and it will draw the eye to your neckline and necklace.
I'm So please you enjoyed watching this video. I see you corrected yourself after this comment. Chuckle. 😉👍😘
I love the way you present your vlog! Please don't stop. Your dress patterns have turned out very well. Thanks for suggesting Lekala patterns.
The vest is super cute on you! Andy could it in various colors!
And it doesn't use up so much material so if you've got any spare scraps it's a good pattern to make little jackets or Waistcoats from.
😉👍😘
The dress with the jacket is sweet.
Your creations are wonderful and inspiring.
thank you for your compliments. Linda. 😉👍❤️

About the pj's : Have you thought of taking some fabric from the top (back length and sides) and add to bottom of pants? Good luck and happy sewing
That's a good idea about the pj's Lavada. 👍😉😘
Your shirt set looks good! I wouldn’t think you were wearing pajamas!
Thank you Angie. Someone mentioned it would be good for the beach and I think I would have to agree. I'll be going to the beach in the summer so I may take that outfit with me. 😉👍😘
belt with the buckle is more flattering as it draws the eye into the centre
I agree Katharine. 👍😉😘

Micheline it's Pat again The red and black looks very nice on you and does not make you look hippy
You should wear it.😊
I likely will. I reckon it just needs perking up with a bit of bright jewellery or earrings do I look less like a waitress.🫣😜😘
The black and dyed red dress looks the best on you!
Thanks Kathleen. 👍😘😉
I love your Korean hanbok!
I stand corrected. There I was thinking it was a Japanese design and it wasn't. It was a Korean one. Thank you. 😉👍😘
Yes, You do entertain us with anything you talk about and show!
Well, I'm very happy to entertain. Cheryl. 😉👍😘❤️
Love all the wonderful things you made. They all look great on you. I appreciate the vlogs you do for us. It is always fun to see what you're up to.😊
Thank you so much Doris. I live the interaction with all my viewers too. 👍😘
With your shirt and cullotes, they would look nice with the shirt open and a tank top or tshirt under. Also you might be able to use a bangle and elastic band to make a tie bring the hem length up and to one side.
That's a good idea. I'll likely keep it for summer on the beach. 👍😉
I love the styling
💖💖😉 thanks for watching 👍💖💖
Looks best with buckle 😂❤
I have yo agree with you there. 👍😘
Thankyou for sharing. All of your dresses were so nice , I liked you in the red and black one the best, it is very slimming on you lovely. Looking forward to your next one .Bless you xx
yes I can see myself wearing that red and black dress as a coat and dress. 👍😘
I like the dresses and the Hanbok Vest.
thanks Vanessa. 👍😘

Red and black dress- definitely a buckle belt, but a black buckle I think, lovely! ❌❌🧑🏻🦳‼️
ooh I'll have to seek out a black buckle to try that. thanks Wendy.
😉😘👍
Realy like blck and red with buckled belt.
Yes I think the buckled belt looks much better with it and it does set it off. 😉😘❤️
I loved you in the black dress and Japanese waist coat you looked very chic, I also loved the blouse with the longer length shorts you made also, you have been very busy, lovely to see you again online x
Thanks Sandy. ❤️😘
I enjoyed seeing all of your lovely makes, Micheline. The vibrant orange dress is very pretty and so is the Lekala dress. I like the red/black shirtwaist belted as well as worn open with trousers. Happy sewing!
Thank you so much Laura. I'm pleased you like them. 👍😉😘❤️
Great makes Michelin, you have been busy
I certainly have. Endless rain helps. 😜😉😘
Hhhhmm i definitely agree swap the back neckline for the front in future for the orange dress sewing pattern.
That will definitely be happening. I'm not keen on Hugh necks and it does feel weird too. 👍😘

Oh, I love all your looks! Now youve hot me looking for yet more patterns!
Fun!
Ooh don't go too mad mind you. 😜😘
The vest looked good from the back 😮
All your makes look great❤ I have quite a few things cut out. I'll have to get at it.
You just need flipping awful weather then Shari. It's amazing what endless days if rain does for one. 😂😉😘
Ooooo love your purple dress on you and indeed your red/ black looks good with the belt .... Love all your makes tho . Well done for using your stash x
Thanks. I'm doing my best to sensibly get the stash level down and still enjoy sewing with it. 😜😉😘❤️
Love all the outfits and your vlog
thank you so much! another incentive for me to keep making vlogs. 😉👍😘
Love your video so inspirational ,dresses are fab and that vest never thought I’ll make one until u showed yours, really entertaining, thank u Michelin
Yes I quite like that waistcoat and I also like the way that there are lengthened versions too. Definitely worth making one or two. 👍😘❤️
This was fun. I had forgotten about Lekala patterns and wanted to give them a try.
I really do like Lekala patterns. They just seem to fit me so much better than many of the other patents. As I said, there's still some tweaking to do but not half as much as others.

Oooohh love the red dress styled as a duster jacket 😍

@@michoumakes That's right and I am needing to learn what will work for me. Listening to you has helped a lot as I didn't know where to start.😃
Another great vlog, thank you! Lovely makes!
Thanks Gail
OMG love the vest❤
Thanks
Just try rolling over in bed with that over size shirt. It will soon find it's way out of the pajama drawer lol.
Ha ha! Thanks for reminding me. That's why I stopped wearing nightdresses and turned to the old t shirts and leggings! 😉😘
I think your dress would look better with a scoop neck at the front on you. Currently its too high which sorta makes your boobs too low. Show a bit more flesh at the neck and proportionally it will look better. The swishy long skirt looks really good on you. I would say maybe bohemian, gypsy style.
Yes I definitely will be changing the neckline. Possibly to a V neck. Watch this space. 😉😘
