Truly emotional. I like how the character plays off of iconic video game characters being alive. Glitchy Red just wanting to be remembered instead of just a old hero left to be a pixel mess, in fact, replaced by a brown eyed kid, a new red. Then finally accepting he can’t stay like this, he accepted that he was used like a toy but now he just gave in.
I honestly like how he considers Red in Fire Red “the brown eyed kid”, showing that he’s resentful of something that’s suppose to be him but feels like it’s not and just a replacement trying to be be him
you cant call out horror cliches and then do other cliches. the pasta is self aware to a degree, but ultimately just acknowledges other pastas of the time and is less about calling anything out. its like writing a movie where you make fun of micheal bay's explosion habits but in that exact same movie have cringe one liners and have people jump through glass unphased

It's weird how other game creepypastas are like "oooh, spooky, hyper-realistic character from the video game with bloody tears," or "oooooh I'm a scary version of a character from the game and I'm gonna kill your character and do nothing to you emotionally." Ben Drowned could be argued to be a good creepypasta, but to me, it seems more like an ARG. A video game creepypasta is just a story relegated to the game and the narrator, along with sometimes other characters, but an ARG expands far beyond that. Anyways, yeah, Pokémon creepypastas tend to be very existential, and, to be honest, I have no clue why. It could be nostalgia value, but the same could be done for Sonic or Mario, but I haven't found any that reach beyond that. Ben Drowned does that, but as I said, it's more like an ARG. But other than nostalgia value, I don't see why or how they could possibly be any different than other run-of-the-mill creepypastas, yet they tend to be that way.
@@TheRealWaltYeah I'd have to agree. A good amount of Pokémon creepypastas (or Poképastas as I like to call them) have some kind of nostalgia value to them and it can spawn really well written ones. One that is really good and overlooked is called Fallen Leaf.
I feel kinda happy that fnf showed me these creepypastas. Some of them are really cool (I knew about hypnos lullaby, lost silver, buried alive, strangled red, Pokemon Black and some more). Most of them are very unique and very cool.
