I legit enjoyed the more realistic art style of this tekken, along with the stage variation. I like small stages ,obstacles, and how the bodies distorted over uneven terrain always made me laugh.. The wall system was goofy. This tekken had some great ideas. I even liked moving around b4 round starts
2:41. I forgot about that broken mechanic. Almost reminded me of Steve in T5 where if he got the sidestep left on you and did 3,1,1 it was endless damage. You would have figured the developers would have learned from this here

@metal fox 913 ITA there's a way to do the move where it comes out at normal speed but it's still unblockable, which is why it's so overpowered, you literally cannot defend against it lmao it's so ridiculous
Ortiz 547 yes but everything else for kazuya got a hit his 10f punish 1,1,2 is not a natural combo his twin pistons are not a natural combo and of course his electric needs a ch or a stun to link into a launch

Tekken 4 aged like fine wine, even in 2023 its still so good. Kazuya has a really similar control scheme to the one on ttt1, just with a little bit of new moves added, even tho they feel incomplete because of the sequels, where they get buffed with other moves to keep the combo going.
Played this for the first time back in June. It was a blast for how experimental it was, and that early 2000's style was great. PS: What does TAS stand for?
I like the narration in prologue in the JP/Asia version. Narrator has this tone like in Character Select/Round 1/2/K.O. etc., which is more fitting imo.
@@dieselx999 it's multi purpose. It's both teabagging and wave dashing towards the enemy. Fun fact: Kazuya is the original teabagger of the TEKKEN series thanks to his "mist step" then Heihachi and Jin followed suit and other TEKKEN characters are able to wave dash just as fine.
