The thing with manual focus when you work alone is a pain in the ass. Is there a way to lock focus in the G7? Any advice on this matter? Thanks for the video. Love your work... and the G7 ;)

It is! Especially if you far away from the camera. I’ve found it best to switch it to MF via the switch and use a target where I’ll be positioned. Using focus peaking to make sure It’s in focus. After that I don’t touch the camera! It’s locked in!

@@SeezSantos bless you, man. If you could tell me what focus peaking is, I would be forever grateful 🙌🏼

I talked about it briefly in this video on my channel 👉 G7 Tips: How To Master Manual Focus & Autofocus

but you just gave me a great idea for a video covering the topic of using manual focus and relying on focus peaking!

solid video, but your intro felt like a personal attack lol. I've had the G7 longer than i'm willing to admit, and i still haven't figured out a good setting for recording my content.

I was calling myself out on this one! I remember just how troublesome it was for me in the beginning and sometimes even now. It’s all a continued learning experience!
