I find him entertaining but as a watch enthusiast I do not take him serious. Any watch TH-camr that only talks Rolex, Patek, AP and RM and shits on everything else I do not take them serious. Also he is here on YT for the money nothing else. He got paid to promote the Ulysse Nardin in China and now you can see low key promoting Frederique Constant. So good for him he's making money if I want real watch content I love TGV.
I've told you guys if you're Nico's fan you not gonna like my videos. But yes, that's the last video in this comedy style on my channel. I'm back to serious content about vintage watches.
nico is so popular because he is the start point or bridge for people who dont know anything or are new to watches into the world of watches his videos are funny and entertaining there not ment for information or for those who are serious about watches he gives just enough information for you to know whats going on
You make a lot of good points about Nico. The funny thing is that you're sharing TH-cam gold wisdom but most people (non TH-camrs) will not get it. I do find the constant jump cuts a bit distracting. I think less would be more.
I was interested into watches in 2018 and TGV was the best TH-camr by far. Full of positivity, a good life style, giving good values etc... Today, I'm on the market for a vintage Grand Seiko and I discover this Leonard who is full of bad energy. Roasting other people, making fun and insulting people... And this guy is number one now ? Seriously ? ...
@@QuartzCrisis yeah I unsubbed from Nico a few months ago because his style and language was too much for me personally. That said, it seems to me you’re addressing some fairly serious things about his life and you may not have all the facts. Just a thought. I enjoy your channel and I’m just looking out for you.
Most of the “enthusiasts” today are not interested in horology, true intellectual interest is what sustained the industry after the Quartz Crisis. It’s a superficial interest today.
@@pawelwisniewski6849 the weird thing is that TH-cam encourages us to make trashy content like this, that's why Nico is #1. You make a good educational video and TH-cam shows it to nobody, but trash always wins. Very sad
Nico is pure entertainment. And the man knows his watches, even though that's not what his channel is about. Yes, it's clickbait, o-face, "empty calory" crap, but it is really entertaining and somehow not even pretentious while talking about the most pretentious subject, ultra-luxury watches. I like your videos too, there's room for all type of content.
Any chance we can meet up I travel Europe often so happy to travel to you. You have just insulted my country. Lets see how smart you out when we’re face to face
Wearing a smart watch is minus 25% to one's value, generally. 99% of the time people can't rock a smart watch. And yeah, 3D is much more interesting than a generic piece of plastic one doesn't know how to use with cool.
Are you serious with this video ? First off Nico worked for Vodafone before his watch business. Nico is a great entertainer a showman with good watch knowledge and a growing watch business. TH-cam can be used for many reasons. Nico is not the source for detailed technical watch information everyone should know that , so you didn't drop some news or reveal some lies. Nico is someone to watch to have a bit of fun and see his take on the luxury watch industry. You and he aren't in the same universe.... To suggest a viewer should watch you instead of him is like someone saying to not drive a Ferrari, but a Nissan instead. With all do respect to your channel and you have good content don't make a fool of yourself. I have watched you and him but for very different reasons...He at this time is a TH-cam "Celebrity" you are not. IMO you made yourself look foolish and almost jealous or resentful. Stick to what you do best and this vid isn't it.
I absolutely agree and i'm not gonna do videos like that anymore. I've tried to do a video in Nico's style, I had fun making it, but that's it. My channel is serious and educational, very different from Nico's channel
@@QuartzCrisis I have been watching your videos consistently for the past 3 days whenever I'm bored because they consistently anger me. It is nice to get a little rise from watching your videos. I have seen your videos and what I gather is the following: I think you are a bitter person. You are bitter in the same way some people hate Apple or Tesla because they are successful. This is why you hate Rolex. I doubt you own a modern Rolex, but for some reason every chance you get, you try to take a stab at them. You can't just appreciate their greatness, iconicness, and craftsmanship. You make videos like "Oyster Perpetual Lies" thinking you are proving something. Its just weird bro... I feel like if you actually just held a Rolex you'd love it. Its not expensive just because its called "Rolex" like you say. Its expensive the same reason Omega, Patek, and AP are expensive: because the craftsmanship, heritage, etc. They are great watches, I own one and its my favorite watch of my collection. Vintage watches are nice too, but it feels that you value price over craftsmanship. You think because something is cheaper and similar, it is worth comparing. But that is not always the case. Just because something looks similar, it doesn't mean that it is on the same level. I just feel like everytime you find a pretty average watch at a decent price and its vintage, you automatically have favoritism towards it. If I were you, I'd put your money where your mouth is and get yourself a higher end time piece just to see and feel the difference for yourself. Also I love watches, but not because I'm necessarily a "watch guy," but rather because I like fashion, and the way wearing a watch makes me feel. They can tie an outfit together, and I just like what I like. I don't like watches because the watch community says to, or because they're loved by a community.

watches overall are a thing of the past, just ordered a smart watch for 25 euro which is much more usable, live with it!
You live in the future! My wife got me into collecting watches, but now all she wears is her Apple Watch
Indeed, horology is about the art of watchmaking. Not about the accuracy or functionality of a smartwatch. Maybe someday you’ll understand. Maybe.
