@@VegRecipesofKarnataka ha..ha.. Not because of recipe but because I always miss the timing that I accidentally allow the Rasam to boil.. However, I will try this jeera Rasam tomorrow and update you the outcome! :-)
I can't understand the language and the English subtitles did not mention the ingredient added with red chillies and cumin for roasting...I believe it is coriander seeds
I am so sorry...I just checked it, typo error. It is actually 2 tbsp toor dal and 1 tbsp cumin seeds (@0:25 seconds). Kindly click on this link for detailed recipe in English: vegrecipesofkarnataka.com/620-jeerige-saaru-recipe-easy-jeera-rasam-cumin-saru.php

Yes we can. Thank you.
I am a big fan of Pepper Rasam n Jeera Rasam but I always fail to make it. All my attempts to prepare Rasam royally flopped! :-D
Sorry to hear that.. Try this recipe once and share the feedback. The important point is to roast the cumin carefully under low flame.

Actually, whole chillies should not be fried in oil. Chillies should be broken into pieces and fried so that the seeds also get fried well

As the chillies are the source of spicy taste, I usually reduce it!
