    Had one of these for a couple of years. I like the way you peg this out, it will be helpful for me. Thanks for making the video.

    Thanks for this. Just got out hexaway ii and used this for our first trial inflate in the garden!
    Just need to get it folded up neatly to go back away now 😂😂

    Get the wife to operate the pump, what a hero! 😂😂😂😂😂 Great video though, well done! It would be good if you could do another short video on drive away and drive back with the awning remaining in situ

      Great idea, maybe on our next trip! Thanks for watching

    Lovely stuff, the only thing that I was expecting was a better connection to the van. It seems it has no skirt and the side doeas not really adhere to the van, hence the door to the van has to be always closed to keep the place warm and the insects out

    Looks great! Can I ask where the lights are from please?

      The inside Awning lights, we actually got from GoOutdoors, but these are them from Amazon - amzn.to/3BIZ0bD..thank you for watching the video!

    Very helpful video. Can I ask whether you kept the other 2 air valves closed and only inflated the one showed being inflated ? What’s the reason for keeping the other 2 valves closed ?

    Thanks - really useful. Just back from putting mine up and have to say, by myself, was quite hard. Think if just me then maybe pump it up first and then add to the Fiamma as the driveaway bit was quite easy. Did you find you needed to check/add air every now and then (every day?) ? Thanks

    Great video, well presented.. would have been good to include how the driveway works?

    • @drivinghorizons
      @drivinghorizons  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great point. To try and explain, if not too late, you just pull out the four plastic rods again. The roof section drops down to be bound to the awning, and off you go. Hope that helps, thanks for watching

    Hi Guys , what a great video , I bought this tent at a festival haven't taken it out f the box but does the ground sheet come included in the box ? I appreciate the footprint and carpet are optional extras Thanks

    • @drivinghorizons
      @drivinghorizons  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I am pretty much sure the groundsheet came with the awning. We purchased the black groundsheet protector, and the carpet as extras. Thanks for watching

  • @TheZyborski
    @TheZyborski ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you measure the distance between the van and the groundsheet? Curious as to how you knew where to put it to ensure the tunnel was not too tight. Thanks!

    • @drivinghorizons
      @drivinghorizons  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We kind of guessed, based on previous times I think. You will see, around 4:28, that the ground sheet isn't actually hammered in. It then gives us the flexibility to move it slightly into the right place. But we still do not hammer it in. Once the floor of the awning is down. Plus the carpet, plus bags / tables / chairs etc, it doesn't need fixing to the floor. Thanks for watching!

    What about sun coming through the roof ??? Is it not acting as a lens ant heats up the tent ?

    • @drivinghorizons
      @drivinghorizons  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does, but to be honest I haven't been in an awning or a tent that doesn't get warm in warm weather. This one has big windows on the side you can open, to reveal either netting or plastic windows, so you can get some ai circulating. Thanks for watching.

    Where did you get the groundsheet with the clips? I can only find the footprint on their website 😢 thanks

    • @drivinghorizons
      @drivinghorizons  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The grey one? I am pretty sure it is supposed to come with the Awning. From memory, I can only remember having to add on the black groundsheet protector, and the carpet? Hope you find one!

    The tent looks great, I’m in the market for a drive away awning but are these air tents honestly worth the faffing ? They look big and heavy against pole awnings just after an honest opinion.

    • @drivinghorizons
      @drivinghorizons  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have always used inflatable ones. I can't speak intelligently unfortunately about the pole ones, but these do go up super quick once you have done it a couple of times. I think I would rather spend 60 seconds pumping the air instead of messing around connecting poles etc, especially in bad weather. I would imagine they are slightly heavier than the fabric of the pole ones, but you also have no poles to carry around. Plus, they are super sturdy once inflated. Not sure if that helps at all! :) thanks for watching.

    Just wandering how everyone is getting on we are on our third tube that we inflate one leaked at the top junction usher two leaking at bottom seamed there plastic welds are are not right ,we love the awning but this is clearly a problem,anyone else having this we blow it up just over three on the gauge not even on the green.Charlie.

    how long did it take to put it up, overall, start to finish, please?

    • @drivinghorizons
      @drivinghorizons  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for late reply!! To start with, while figuring it out, it took ages! Now, I think no more than 20 minutes. Thanks for watching

  • @alanplatt6229

    The awning footprint goes UNDER the awning groundsheet to protect it. NOT on top.

    • @drivinghorizons
      @drivinghorizons  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is correct, which I am pretty sure that is what we did. Haven't rewatched the vid, but it is certainly how it should be done. Black groundsheet protector, which we lay out first as a guide. Grey clip in ground sheet (after inflation) followed by the carpet. Thanks for watching!
