Liverpool's history is amazing, good times and bad times but never predictable. Industry, Architecture, Talent, Culture, Music, Football, Truly one the greatest city's in the world and watching video's like these just makes me so proud to be a Scouser 💙
I cant believe the emotions these short glimpses of the past are bringing out in me.Im a 60 yr old canadian/scouser working me way thru a box of tissues.Bravo guys!!!
I was 15 when i left for Canada and never went back, but it a rare day that i don't think of my home City. Playing near the Ralla and the floating down the Cut on home made rafts. Thank you for the Glimps in the rear view.

I remember going down to the gas works in Athol st for some sacks of coke , we pushed our Mary’s big pram all the way from the Buildings in Owen rd , it was around 1955 there must have been a miners strike or something. My Ninnie lived past the works in Broom st. A few of my uncle’s were down below men on the ships. My Dad grew up in Ascot street. We are all from Ireland, who isn’t . Fond memories from dear old SCOTTIE ROAD. 🇨🇮

bob Edwards I loved that video made a sense with what me dad use to tell me lost me dad nine years ago and I am missing him lots Bobby flynn snapper drank in all the pubs my grandparents came over from island that all I no grandad work on the docks an nan was a barrow lady selling fruit and veg by tj Hughes I was born in 71 they had passed away before that x
Same here Paula, my grandmothers side of the family also came from Ireland and all my uncles went away to sea then finished their working lives on the docks. Its the best place in the world with the best people.

It was about a group of teenagers who set up a group called Scottie Road that tried to emulate the Merseybeat era. When the strip finished the Down Old Scottie Road song was released for charity funds.q
when I was young I got caught short on the 14c bus and had to do a poo in the local paper and hid it behind a chair on the top deck at the back. The next day I went to get on the bus and the conductor told me I was banned because I did a poo on the bus the night before. I asked him how he knew and he said " It was in The Echo this morning".. ..boom boom\\i'm here all week.

I know this question is a year old, but it was sung by Mickey Finn, Steve Faye & others (?). Not sure if Stan Kelly was involved. That's all I know.
