Ali had two weaknesses: power and stamina. Ali at age 32 had 47 fights, 2 losses and 32 KOs, for a 68 percent KO rate. Marciano at that age had won all of his 49 fights, and had 43 KOs for an 88 percent KO rate. So there is no comparison as far as power goes. Ali suffered badly against Frazier and Norton. He was not fresh from round 11 to 15, and would have been a sitting duck for Marciano who remained fresh even in the 15th.

Your right that Ali's stamina had greatly decreased when he fought frazier but that was after his layoff. Before that he danced 15 rounds with Chuvalo, 12 rounds with patterson, 12 rounds with midenberger, 15 rounds with terell and still looked fresh at the end.
