@jahjahsavewi6185 You seem quite bitter for Pernell Whitaker, I agree that he should had won that night, he fought spectacularly that night against an aging but quite formidable and undefeated Chavez Sr. Not sure why you think losing to Whitaker would discredit Julio's abilities and accolades as a pro boxer. yes, because despite the official time, there were actually FIVE seconds left when Steele stopped the fight, which would have been enough time for Chavez to land one more punch.
The fight against Meldrik Taylor ,yeah Taylor was lightning quick but didn't land many punches, the commentators were beating Chavez more than Taylor was,but my respects for Meldrik Taylor he was a complete fighter...till this day I haven't seen a boxer with a talent similar to Taylor's talent nor Chavez's talent something that all boxers from this generation lack including Canelo

Tyson will beat you with one punch, he put you to sleep, but Chavez will torture you for many rounds specially the body, many of his opponents ended up going to the hospital right after the fight
I think Chavez really enjoyed beating his opponents like that. He could have KO some guys like Haugen but he backed off to give him as much of a beating as possible. Ruthless! Haugen made the mistake of disrespecting Mexicans. Chavez made him pay for that.
Chavez is THE greatest of all time. He won over 80 professional title defending fights before losing to Whittaker by this tim Chavez was way past his prime in his late 30s . To me he's the greatest of ALL TIME .
The Chavez vs Taylor fight was on a short list of the worst broadcasting bias in boxing history. Yes, Taylor threw more 'punches' but he was playing patti cakes compared to the brutal punishing shots Chavez landed throughout the fight. In fact, the fight was split on the judges scorecards. No way Taylor was winning every round, his face looked like ground beef by the 8th round. Richard Steele after the fight -"I'm not the time keeper, I don't care about the time, Meldric took a lot of hard shots, a lot of clean shots, when I get tired of seeing a guy get POUND, POUND, POUND, and I think he's had enough, I'm gonna stop it."

I think his trainer cost him the fight by lying to him telling him that he needed to knock Chavez out in the 12th round. The only thing to beat Chavez was time and greed. He should have retired at 70-0. Don King promoting and having him continue moving up in weight were what led to his brilliant record being blemished. He says I can't believe it, he stopped the fight with 5 seconds to go, I thought a minute was 60 seconds not 55 seconds. What was Steele supposed to do, Meldrick Taylor was down and out, it's not the entirety of the fight that really counts, you can win all 11 rounds and loose at the end round 12, I wondr what they would say if Steele left tyhe fightand Taylor get really hurt or killed, it only takews one punch to a wabling fighter to get irreversally damage or be a vegetable. I think the referee Steele follow the rules that were given to him. If you ask a boxer you ok to continue and there's no answer, the refree job is to stop the fight regarles of how many seconds are left in the fight. Now if anyone out there disagrees with please explain to me why....?

Wow Sugar Ray chickened out of fighting Chavez. This man is the best boxer of all time. He fought the best beat the best. If that isn't the definition of greatness I don't know what is.
Taylor went to the hospital almost lost his life internal bleeding
Richard Steele possibly saved his life
@@WillGuzman-um9en thank u!!
yes, because despite the official time, there were actually FIVE seconds left when Steele stopped the fight, which would have been enough time for Chavez to land one more punch.
La mamba terminó como gusanito
The fight against Meldrik Taylor ,yeah Taylor was lightning quick but didn't land many punches, the commentators were beating Chavez more than Taylor was,but my respects for Meldrik Taylor he was a complete fighter...till this day I haven't seen a boxer with a talent similar to Taylor's talent nor Chavez's talent something that all boxers from this generation lack including Canelo
@@muertobrownred first person that said that chaves was not being hit thank u!!
@@titovilla9127 it's true Chavez was a master in blocking and slipping punches in close range...My respects for Taylor he threw so many punches but he didn't really land like the commentators made it seem
To this day Chavez says Taylor was his hardest opponent. He would hit him with four and Taylor would hit him with 8
Chavez was unbelievable!! out of this world! Great documentary!
in 57 total fights La Porte NEVER got stopped.
As a Mexican la porte was a warrior Salvador Sanchez gave him props
reconsider the title: he never won a fight in 3 seconds. as much as we all admire JCC, Tyson was a force of nature. great video!
Julio Cesar Chavez, always fight as a man, Floyd is a boy 😅
Roger found out! Floyd vs Chavez would be an awesome fight.
Un orgullo 🎉 🇲🇽
Chavez himself has stated he felt he peaked and was at his best at the Edwin Rosario fight. No one could beat him at that point in time.
Nobody bro that was peak Chavez incredible performance.
His skull specifically is forehead was a half inch thicker than a normal person’s forehead
Mexican genetics are for fighting that’s why 😂
Excellent channel
Class documentary
Great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonder if you answer whats UP
If I ever visit Mexico 'd love to meet with "EL GRAN CAMPEON MEXICANO" if by any chance Chavez reads this letter I hope he gives me the Great Honor to meet the best Champion of all times. Bar none.
The LEYEND !!!! 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Julio cesar chavez and Salvador Sanchez Los mejores boxeadores en los 80”s. Recuerdo con mucho respeto y admiración a estos dos guerreros aztecas. Siempre pa delante y dando todo por el éxito. Enormes guerreros mexicanos
In his Day.nobody was near him !
Leonard fought Floyd Mayweather SR and Julio Cesar Chavez fought Floyd Mayweather SR so why didn’t we get Duran vs Chavez or Sugar Ray vs Chavez?
Because by the time Chavez won the title at SUPER FEATHER, Duran was already fighting up at basically middleweight and past his prime.
@@THISISLolesh HE WAS ALLWAYS TRASH AND A CHEATER!!!!
Chavez fought Roger Mayweather
Salvador Sanchez beat Juan LaPorte as you see in the video Chavez had a tough time with Juan LaPorte that's why I believe Salvador Sanchez would have beat Chavez.
buen video
It's ridiculous to compare: they're both very different and don't open another one like Tayson in a long time. 🥊
i was telling people that a long time ago
Could you make a Joe Louis at his best video?
@@Thatguyisme659 My video foreman Louis shows exactly how Joe and his era fought. In that video, does that version of Joe look like he or anybody else would land anything on people Mike/foreman fought? , he and guys from his time look like novices compared side by side to no names Foreman fought, and in no way does anyone from that era look like they would last 1 round vs. guys in the 70s-90s,so yea joe would be destroyed in the 1st
He plants his feet like Tyson does
OTHER TRASH FIGHT JUST CHAVEZ
Beast mode!
🔥🔥🔥
🇲🇽🐐🇲🇽🐐
I have love and respect for meldrick taylor ❤️ God bless you brother 🙏
El mejor fuera de serie
I love Chavez but man I feel so bad for Taylor. He had so much heart in that first fight. I think his trainer cost him the fight by lying to him telling him that he needed to knock Chavez out in the 12th round. The fight was already in the pocket but the trainer got greedy, he wanted a knockout for his own pride, not for Taylors. He sent his guy on an unnecessary battle in that last round
Bro you really skipped over the Camacho and Haugen (not Hagen) fights?? Why??
I hear you friend but there aren't very many people who want to see Comacho. Plus I think he tried to edit the video down to a watchable length. He said so at the end. If I had to edit a boxing video, the first person I'd cut out would be Comacho lol.
Absolute punching machine
If you are losing a fight you have to KO the opponent and be the best fighter, and a KO at 0:02 secs is just as part of the fight like a KO at 1:58secs
That fight ended meldrick taylors career he was never the same.
the Taylor fight was brutal. Valiant Taylor.
Ahn took a dive.
I don’t think that ref during meldrick Taylor knew the time either tho. He probably thought maybe like 45 seconds were left or sumn.
sugar ray leonard wanted NO part of julio cesar chavez.
This is what happens when these haters don't get that rehydration clause.
I disagree with your Taylor scoring. Taylor's head was snapping back all fight not Julio. Also, if you don't understand Lou Duva's enthusiasm you need to watch alot more HBO fights. Taylor got whooped.
Ahhhhh yeah facts 💯
THE GREATEST MEXICAN FIGHTER BY FAR EVER
Chavez was one of the best to do it
🐐
Why not highlights for the fights with Camacho , Haugen??....
Julio cesar Chávez, en la pelea con Laporte el subió deshidratado y débil ya que le costaba mucho dar el peso y después de esa pelea subió a los pesos ligeros.
👍
Did anyone see the ref help mayweather stand up on that knockdown
The only thing to beat Chavez was time and greed. He should have retired at 70-0.
Don King promoting and having him continue moving up in weight were what led to his brilliant record being blemished.
Had he retired when he should have he'd be recognized as the greatest pound for pound fighter of All-Time.
How long does somebody got to get hit before the referee jumps in cuz Chavez was a lightning fast he had a solid Chin chin not a glass chin
At 1:11:14 "Alright youzz guys, what, one more round you think, yeah, one more round, wait, how bout we draw straws, no no no, Rock/Paper/Scissors" lol!!!
Do you have a team of people making these videos? Or are you experimenting with ai voices? (Im confused)
My video foreman Louis shows exactly how Joe and his era fought.
To all those who say chavez fought cab drivers you who are not a cab driver do you think you could beat chavez in his prime ? Dont make excuses now
2:27 "Martinez was gay, but he was outclassed" 😂😅
Lol the ref was helping Mayweather left and right. This is sick to watch. Good thing Chavez was so much better or else what could have happened.
Chavez destroyed his opponents in later rounds but Tyson would go ballistic in the first round if you blinked you missed it . CLICK BAIT
Simply because the goat Chavez made them urinate blood
Chavez was the best.
Nobody took a punch better than Chavez. He mustve had a helmet inside his head or something.
Great champion but if both in the same weight category no match for. SALVADOR SANCHEZ!!!!!!
When boxing was a sport and not a business. ( canelo)
Oscar De La Hoya kicked his but and got robbed by the judges, that was the start of the collapse of pro boxing.
3:00 That's right - Chick Hearn!
mayweather left the bldg
Little Mac
At the end of the Taylor fight the commentator are speechless. Thats the first time I saw that. They cannot even talk at the time that Chavez has dropped Taylor because is so dramatic moment that they are just standing and watching as fans and forgot they are commentator! Crazy!
