    Weiter so! ;)

  • @andresf.a1220
    @andresf.a1220 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Nikolaus .. What size are the images that you use in HDRI in Nikomedias those that I have the visualization in very big ...

    • @nikomedia
      @nikomedia  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you mean the size of the studio hdri's in the "Nikomedias Scene Rig Pro" (which are exr files), they are all 3000px x 1500px. They are made just for lighten the seen and not really expected to use as a background image.

    How to do animation rain? You can make a tutorial about this?

    • @nikomedia
      @nikomedia  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A rain animation I would do with Realflow or X-Particles, at least for the splashes. The waves you can do with the collision deformer.
      When I find time I can make a Quick Tutorial for one drop and splash. To clone this later should be no problem, but at the moment I am really busy and happy, if I can make one tutorial a week.

  • @Marienkarpfen
    @Marienkarpfen 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    in realflow, did you have the whole thing being dynamic?

    • @Marienkarpfen
      @Marienkarpfen 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      as in.. groundplane collidertag and raindrops deform the surface. Or fluid?

    • @nikomedia
      @nikomedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course you can make such a scene dynamic in RF. Would work with X-Particles too.

    • @Marienkarpfen
      @Marienkarpfen 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ye sure.. what im struggling with is how to make the splash of a drop look more volumetric.. i know the crown daemon can cause the outer crown, NP, but when the water drop hits the ground i dont want the waterparticles to distribute along the surface as they usually would, i want them to splash up, quite explosive. no idea how to do that, not with a noise field or flowfield or whatever.
      Sure if they would hit water the water that was initially pushed underwater will splash up again, but i want that for normal ground

    • @nikomedia
      @nikomedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would have to try this, but I don't work with realflow so much. In X-Particles I would do this with spawn emitter.
      I will try this as soon as I have a little more time and tell you then, if I find a good way.

    • @Marienkarpfen
      @Marienkarpfen 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      that nice.
      The idea is that the upper half of the drop wont explode because a girl will be comped inside of it.thats why i kinda need a hull inside the drop that maintains its shape somehow and blends into the rest. you handle blob meshs pretty well thats why i was wondering if you knew some kind of approach to this lol.
      off the upper half some parts splutter off, but overall it should maintain a blobby shape that can contain someone (without being viscous because that destroys the splashyness, which xparticles/realflow tend to have anyways so you have to seperate via noisefields)
      Guess you can imagine its a lil difficult only with attractors

      There are a lot TFD Tutorials out there. Unfortunately I am very busy at the moment and have no time for it. If it gets more quite, then I can do one, but I can't promise when this will be.

  • @Imotepth

    Very cool tutorial, I never thought thats possible without RealFlow. Thanks.
    I played a bit with it and figured out, that it may look better with use of two cloners for the splash. One with bigger drops at the bottom, other with smaller drops on all splash shape. Both cloners are in same metaball. The result looks surprisingly realistic.

      Its a realy amazing technique. How you get such genial ideas? :)
      Here is my next render: s25.postimg.org/8h3pn1927/raindrop_hs.jpg
      I know, the ground is made in quick and dirty way with flat texture, but I have lame PC, it can hardly handle the metaballs in scene.
      P.S.: any idea how to trick-simulate steam without plugin?

    • @nikomedia
      @nikomedia  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      How I get the ideas? I gave you just the basic, you made it even greater ;)
