After getting sick of Redbull’s dominance in F1 it’s refreshing to see the more competitive scene in Indycar. Started watching it seriously this year and I’ve loved it!

The nature of F1 means that for most seasons there will always be a dominant team and for me personally that just makes for boring racing. The drivers in F1 are so good at there craft but I feel as though their influence isn’t as great as in Indycar. I like to follow the drivers more than the builders so Indycar has become much more fun for me to watch than F1.
Power also complained on social media about how rough the grass off track was after his big off. For which he was promptly roasted and reminded it’s always better to remain ON the track!
I do like that Grosjean thought he was going to walz over to america and become the Lewis Hamilton of Indycar and 2.5 years later were sitting at zero wins and 2 or 3 podiums and he gets outclassed by 40 year olds like Dixon and Powers who never even got so much as an F1 test session.
Nigel Mansell set a high bar by coming over and winning the championship his first year...convincing others it would be an easy 'step down' to IndyCar...oops.

I’ve been a race fan of all types racing, however in my 35 plus years of watching (and club racing) I’ve never seen so many red flags. From F1, MotoGP, INDYCAR etc etc. All for safety of drivers, marshals, ERV’s but used to be handled by yellows is now reds. Which kills pace.

I ragged on Roman about flying the pride colors on his car at Indy instead of backing the Veterans of America ans said it will come back and bite hin in the butt before the the 500. And he has crashed in every race after I said that! God has a strange way of working! He was my favorite driver until he flew the colors! We all fall under one flag the American flag and him flying them colors on Memorial day was a slap in the face to all us Veterans! I lost all respect for him!
Except for the standard Chassis, Aero and engine, what really annoys me at indycar is that teams aren't mandated to have recognisable liveries. Green car and blue car don't scream teammates to me... F1 has solved that better.

An F1 teams Budget just for R&D and Racing activities, not including investments and facilities is 140 million Euros. And they get by fine with team liveries. So I guess indycar would do too. I would argue matching, elegant team liveries would raise sponsor appeal cause it looks better. Cleaner.
@TheNecromancer6666 I think you REALLY underestimate how little money IndyCar generates. The entire IndyCar field operates on about half of 1 F1's team budget. Youll have 1 car in a team have about 7-8 different liveries/sponsors in a season cuz theyll take any funding they can get. No teams are getting funding for full seasons on multiple cars. Its either several different sponsors on a car or no car at all. WEC cars tend to be manufacturer supported so obviously they have matching liveries.
Honestly, I think Grosjean is still one of the fastest drivers in IndyCar, a perfect fit for Andretti and is first win is getting closer, even though his early F1 background isn't giving him the respect he deserves. However Road America was an absolute shit take from Romain.

Being an Andretti fan is the indycar equivalent to being a Ferrari fan.
