Being an Andretti fan is the indycar equivalent to being a Ferrari fan.
Going by this year
CGR = Red Bull, Andretti = Ferrari, Penske = Mercedes, McLaren(Indy) = Aston Martin, RLL = Alpha Tauri, Foyt = Williams, Meyer-Shank = Haas, Juncos = Alpine, ECR = McLaren(F1), Dale Coyne = Alfa Romeo
Does that sound about right?

I don’t think the same can be said for Andretti but it is close.

@@EricBurns1Mostly spot on from what I feel too, but I doubt Juncos is the Alpine team, they’re pretty underfunded after all. Probably Williams since they have a pretty decent driver giving them good results.

And what’s weird about it, I’ve noticed channels will cover the same topics at the same times. Like multiple channels will make a video about the same throwback race within a week of each other, or all are in sync making videos about the same topic at the same time so you get three different videos on the same day covering the same thing. It goes beyond breaking news and other information that is relevant that you’d expect them all to cover at the same time (like race reviews) but even their videos covering random topics it’s like they convene and chose which topic to cover in what order. Really bizarre

I actually think the Indy car comedy reviews are better than the F1 ones for reasons

@@tiadaid yeah man, like... If you didn't know how exciting it is to see Alonso on every podium this year vs the RNG that is almost any other series. The point of F1 is not to fuel our bloodthirst, and that's why Indy fits so well in modern racing lol.
Palou has been driving like he's in a Red Bull since the Indy GP. I don't mind him extending his lead here because he's doing this in a spec series while Max was given a rocket ship.
While this is all objectively true, they're both kings of corners in racing. They way they handle turns in each series is nuts.
somehow, you have to be able to drive that rocket to the limit, unlike Checo

Grosjean is one crash free race away from a win. And yet he can’t seem to do it
Honestly. I’m not even a Grosjean fan necessarily, but his first IndyCar win will be very well deserved. He just needs to keep it together for 200ish miles lol

It’s always nice to see that Romain will never change.
I do like that Grosjean thought he was going to walz over to america and become the Lewis Hamilton of Indycar and 2.5 years later were sitting at zero wins and 2 or 3 podiums and he gets outclassed by 40 year olds like Dixon and Powers who never even got so much as an F1 test session.
Nigel Mansell set a high bar by coming over and winning the championship his first year...convincing others it would be an easy 'step down' to IndyCar...oops.

After getting sick of Redbull’s dominance in F1 it’s refreshing to see the more competitive scene in Indycar. Started watching it seriously this year and I’ve loved it!

@@thekamikaze789 I watched when Merc was dominating. It bothered me then too. The nature of F1 means that for most seasons there will always be a dominant team and for me personally that just makes for boring racing. The drivers in F1 are so good at there craft but I feel as though their influence isn’t as great as in Indycar. I like to follow the drivers more than the builders so Indycar has become much more fun for me to watch than F1.
Just want you to know I started humming the red flag song out of habit while my girlfriend was talking about her crazy ex, and now she's confused. So either you're gaining a new subscriber or I'm losing a girlfriend

The red flag meme is one I truly have a love/hate relationship with. It’s the most annoying thing I can think of but yet, I feel robbed if a red flag is mentioned without it.

The Indycar race, as usual, was more exciting than the f1 race
Indy is just a good time, entertaining factor through the roof. I love F1 but c’mon it’s Redbull,Aston ( despite Stroll ) and Mercedes, again F1 is just different, I love it cause of the engineering and I’ll admit, at times the politics are pretty entertaining as well. Indy for the racing, F1 for the technology
I don’t watch Indycar, but thanks to you I am educated and interested in this sport.

Great video! And between the F1 race and this one, this one was better. Like this race was seriously fun. Road America is my favorite Indy track, has been since I was a little kid. Some of the greatest racing I've ever seen has been Indy cars at Road America. Seriously, I was thinking over the weekend how I'd love to watch the race with someone from Europe who's never seen Road America before, just for the excitement. And as for Will Power, his anger management issues have been well documented for years. For those of you who are new Indy car followers, yes this is a regular trait of his.
Power also complained on social media about how rough the grass off track was after his big off. For which he was promptly roasted and reminded it’s always better to remain ON the track!
He also dissed the workers and company who did the re-pave, claiming they don't know what they're doing.
Grosjeans honeymoon in Indycar has officially come to a end.

This was a wild weekend and entertaining race. I've been wanting to see IndyCar race up at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park but at least we'll have the IMSA race there in July.

Was at this race in Canada Corner, the word nightmare perfectly describes the day for AA. Was pulling for Armstrong to have a great showing, he got let down to say the least

This was my 5th year going to Road America, man that place is incredible

@@Messimarci10 well Road America basically has a campground, you can buy a ticket package that includes camping, onsite. So at Road America there is definitely a lot of camping.

I just hope Ericson or Newgarden can give Palou some competition, or this is gonna be a boring season.
Honestly, I think Grosjean is still one of the fastest drivers in IndyCar, a perfect fit for Andretti and is first win is getting closer, even though his early F1 background isn't giving him the respect he deserves.
However Road America was an absolute shit take from Romain.
I ragged on Roman about flying the pride colors on his car at Indy instead of backing the Veterans of America ans said it will come back and bite hin in the butt before the the 500. And he has crashed in every race after I said that! God has a strange way of working! He was my favorite driver until he flew the colors! We all fall under one flag the American flag and him flying them colors on Memorial day was a slap in the face to all us Veterans! I lost all respect for him!
after following these Indy500 for the first time, it really felt more naturally of a meme than a serious race! it's either the cars are THAT bad or the drivers are compared to F1.
i mean, those number of instances of crashes and stupid moves are too damn high!
Now, more importantly, will there be a Portland E-Prix comedy review next weekend with no F1 and no Indycar? That’s if you’re up for a 1am race start!

Came from the 1996 running of this race (which was batshit nuts from green to checker), and I'm glad to see the 2023 running is absolutely awesome. Seems like every year, Elkart Lake delivers.

OMG the 96 was just bonkers. I remember watching it on TV and how I hated the commercial breaks more than I usually did.

We were doing so well this year but after RA it might be time to bring back the hate cauldron
I’ve been a race fan of all types racing, however in my 35 plus years of watching (and club racing) I’ve never seen so many red flags. From F1, MotoGP, INDYCAR etc etc. All for safety of drivers, marshals, ERV’s but used to be handled by yellows is now reds. Which kills pace.

So in a quick summary, the IndyCar Road America race was more entertaining then the Canadian GP.
It's been years since I watched any Indy Cart Champ race, good to see they're still a clown show.

Pedersen is not Dutch. He is Danish. So is Lundgard. Rosenqvist and Ericsson are Swedish. Sweden is north of Denmark, where Danes live.
technically so is Newgarden. He holds a Danish passport as his mom is a native Dane.
@@Posirep I knew his mother was Danish and that he was eligible for a Danish passport, but I didn't know he had one yet. I'm glad. I recommended to Bus Bros that they use Danish, Swedish and Norwegian ladies to talk in their native languages (say things like foot perspiration, ruggedly handsome and devilish hair), and then have Josef and Scott guess which languages that they are speaking, but they haven't done such a segment. Except for the standard Chassis, Aero and engine, what really annoys me at indycar is that teams aren't mandated to have recognisable liveries. Green car and blue car don't scream teammates to me... F1 has solved that better.
Its a financial thing. Teams need money to operate. If they made everyone have matching liveries they'd have about 5 cars in the field.
@InvisibleTeeth So do F1 teams. So do WEC teams. Still, all of them have Team Liveries with Sponsoring. An F1 teams Budget just for R&D and Racing activities, not including investments and facilities is 140 million Euros. And they get by fine with team liveries. So I guess indycar would do too. I would argue matching, elegant team liveries would raise sponsor appeal cause it looks better. Cleaner.
@TheNecromancer6666 I think you REALLY underestimate how little money IndyCar generates. The entire IndyCar field operates on about half of 1 F1's team budget.
Youll have 1 car in a team have about 7-8 different liveries/sponsors in a season cuz theyll take any funding they can get. No teams are getting funding for full seasons on multiple cars. Its either several different sponsors on a car or no car at all.
WEC cars tend to be manufacturer supported so obviously they have matching liveries.
