Drive 10 miles car over heats. Let cool down. No water, all gone. Bubbling in res tank, pouring out over flow tub. No white smoke. No Milkie oil Runs and Idles great. No notable leaks. Fans work. All hoses clear and good. New water pump, thermostat. Radiator. Hoses.
Help mine is symptom 3 reservoiri fill to full line .radiator topped off.resovoir is always dropping every time I drive every couple days .help no external leaks .what can it be help
... thanks for this “war- briefing”!... I wish I’d viewed it several months ago BEFORE what I currently suspect has become either a blown gasket issue or engine failure issue- I’m still not sure... I’ve had the car looked at by several mechanics from a few different locations/businesses over these months (even “diagnostic” checks!) and NONE identified possible gasket or other engine issues... perfect example of the difficulty in finding “quality” help/service (even had one outfit that received STELLAR yelp [paid- for?] reviews- for chrissakes!... sheesh!) ... most of these guys (my current experience) are $imply ALL ABOUT them Benjamin$!... damn- I pushed the “submit” button before I was finished commenting!... sheesh!... but anyways thanks “guys”- for putting this info out here and giving us some “specific- things” to focus on and to consider!... much gratitude!👍🏻...
Same here, my Jeep Grand Cherokee had been leaking antifreeze since last year and one could figure out why. Eventually it became too much & everything went bad. The belt flew out while I was driving so everything was replaced only for 6 months later it misfired. Within the same day after a 15min drive it over heated & the fan stopped working. Smh I wish I saw this much sooner. It may be too late now.

You forgot one cylinder leaking to other cylinder . That’s the hardest one to figure out . The only symptom without a compression test is cylinder loses compression depending on the stroke of the firing orde
2000 Oldsmobile intrigue head gasket blown put me up chocolate milk in the oil does the engine need to be replaced on a V6 is there a Cadillac engine are they really throwing away engine the engines where you have to replace them with this happens to your engine cuz the threads will strip out and you can't put it back together on the boat holes for putting the engine back together so that to throw it away instead that's what mechanic wants to do charging me $1,200 for the labor $1,200 for the engine he has to have that up front $$500 for any extra parts is this guy ripping me off if I let him do this right now I have not got money to do it but I think the oil has to be cleaned out of the water from the radiator from the stem leak before things go Hensley wrong inside other than that blown head gasket I'm worried about any bearings or things like that resting what sit there on his lot with water in the engine where I will have to replace the engine at that time so am I right on this that he's going to make it one way or another where the engine has to be replaced out his own evil greed
Hi @auto Repair guys i found a small amount of white like mayo in the top of the reservoir cap this morning. everything else is fine. coolent still looks fine. bottle is abit discoloured but no other symptoms. any ideas
I like the fact that you mentioned external leaks first as this seems to be the most overlooked symptom of a head gasket failure, alot of videos dont even mention this.
Hello. I'm having an issue. My temperature are good and the car doesn't overheat. But what's happening is both my top and bottom hoses on radiator are super hard as a rock. Once I drive around for 10mins or more... Again car doesn't overheat and I'm also not using a thermostat. My car runs better without it since it's a turbo charged car making 700hp. My temperature stays around 168-176 depending on how hot outside is.... And another thing is that when the pressure builds up and the hoses are rock hard nothing goes to the reservoir to bleed out some of the pressure when the coolant expands. So my reservoir tank does not get filled neither does it send back coolant when engine gets back cooled. It just stays the same place I filled it manually.. all the pressure just stays in the radiator, engine and hoses.. nothing bleeds off to reservoir. ANY HELP OR IDEAS?????
