Let's assume most of these children will be accepted - they are, after all, children seeking asylum on their own. Lack of stimulation in the environment, especially in the aftermath of severe stress, can damage the cognitive, emotional and social development of children, along with their mental health. It can mean children dwell on the traumas they've experienced rather than having their imaginations stimulated to think of more positive things, increasing the risk and severity of PTSD and other mental health disorders. It can inhibit the development of resilience and coping skills. Murals on their own are neither sufficient nor strictly necessary, but if this is indicative of the overall environment, the expected effect is that damage to these children is maximised before they're accepted into this country. Is it possible that Jenrick and others *want* child asylum seekers to mature into damaged, mentally ill, isolated, potentially even criminal adults, perhaps trying to justify further hate towards asylum seekers? Or is it just obsessively maintaining the myth that all asylum seekers are adult men here to collect massive benefit payouts and terk err jerbs?
I am horrified to find, I actually do think it’s possible Jenrick wants these kids to be actively damaged and then grow into damaged adults thus justifying the narrative Asylum seekers are less than us. Shame on Jenrick and all his ilk.

Being vile and cruel just for the sake of it. I have no idea how anyone at all, of any walk of life could support being nasty to little refugee children.
This is directly in conflict with British values. Or maybe British values have just changed.
...don't exaggerate...if undermines your point...how old are you if you don't mind me asking...still at school...?
I seem to recall he received no penalisation for being the first to break lockdown.
sick just sick
Let's hope this is what he will be best known for, for the rest of his life.
Perhaps they'll coin a term for it: "Jenrickism".
A weak man who is trying to appear strong. Incredibly dangerous.
Remember this the next time you hear the likes of GBNews complain about "Cancel Culture"
The cartoons should be replaced with a cartoon of Pritti Patel, Suella braverman and Teresa May going around in the Home Office's Big White Van driven by Nigel Farage with a speech bubble saying "Je suis a proper Charlie".
....you need to stay away from twitter obviously...and maybe step outside your bedroom occasionally posting laughable comments like that...😊
The question is what is wrong with us. We have allowed these people to do all of this, we have enabled their parasitic visciousness and we need to take that power back. We just can't forget that we allowed it to happen, and hopefully this will lessen the chances of it ever happening again.
Im going to sunday lunch at my parents this weekend, I gaurantee my dad will support it. They are out there
I live in America and unfortunately after 4 years of Donald Trump, I see hate all over the world. We need to look at this moment and realize how cruel and sick we have become. Love is much easier on one's physical and mental health. Why must people live in constant fear? It's nonsense!
and the USA has far worse problem with immigration than anyone else how many crossed the border last year illegally? 1 million plus the US is also trying to stop it, your really a shining example of how it should be done you have more homeless people than ever before just look at california for example
How's your southern border, drug and cartel problems over there?
Your country is falling apart from the current presidents corrupt administration. You must be mentally ill if you can't see that. Seek help
@carlosfandango6255 We have issues that isn't new. I actually was born and raised in Texas. I live 3 hours from the border. We need new immigration laws by our Government. This is a problem that has been going on since the late 1980's. It is a Political talking point and unfortunately my Government has no interest in actually fixing the problems here. That is fact.
@cathywilliams7636 Yet Trump was the one guy trying to sort that, and what he managed to do was almost miraculous, considering he was bogged down at every turn by bogus democrat witch hunts, of course, as we all know now was total BS. You say after 4 years of Trump, you see hate all over the world? The one president that started no wars and got American military back home from places they shouldn't have been in. Please explain this. As a Brit it's something that fascinates me.
i wonder if this person goes to Church on Sunday, how do they sleep at night, can't win in court so they will punish innocent children. Big Man
It comes down to pure and unrestrained hatred.
This makes me want to throw up.... How utterly Cruel.
Much love James for doing this day after day
It shows how out of touch with reality tory ministers are
...and Labour wouldn't be any better...
ok then put them in your house if you think they are children you care so much, come back on here tell us your experience
The reason he ordered this to happen is because conservative politicians, and a lot of conservative voters believe that cruelty is a virtue. I wish it was more nuanced than that, but it really isn't.
Guessing Jenrick dresses in Hugo Boss.
They are either so confident in their position that their own evil doesn’t register any more, or the news about Jenrick has been released as a smokescreen for something even worse that we haven’t heard about.
It’s not that James doesn’t want to live in a country where this happens, it’s that government ministers who do things like this should not be allowed to live in this country.
This shouldn't be glossed over, this is horrific immorality. Utter shameful, detestable, sickeningly vile. Actually very sad.
Jenrick stole £45m from some of the poorest councils in the country ( pocketed how much bunga bunga) - now this … what a pure excuse for a human - he’s apparently going to replace the murals with a symbol popular in 30’s Germany
I’m Dutch, and it’s difficult to belief that this is happening in a European country. It’s heart breaking.
...you really dutch...reading the news you have your own problems...don't throw stones...!
@@chatham43you are soooo bad at this trolling business.
As an occasional viewer from across the pond, what you Europeans call disgusting, would be considered very humane by American standards. Over here we separate children from any parents, put them in detention centers with prison bars, occasionally place them in cages with between 5 and 12 children each year since 2017 dying in custody. Now that is really "unwelcoming". I am sure some of the British conservatives would love to emulate these policies.
@@sisuguillam5109 He is a troll and will report you if you identify him as such.
@@ArtyFactual_Intelligence he can try... 😉
Well said
I am horrified to find, I actually do think it’s possible Jenrick wants these kids to be actively damaged and then grow into damaged adults thus justifying the narrative Asylum seekers are less than us. Shame on Jenrick and all his ilk.
The tories are monsters
Cruel enough to give such an order - and what about following it ??!
What is next in U.K. ? Concentration camp ?
