I've had mine together for about 6 months 88 gr Hornady eldm h1000 40.3 gr very scary accurate one hole built on a savage model 110 one of my favorite rifles also a Shaw barrel
Great video, I have a custom 22/6mm Ackley Improved that a smith in Marshfield Mo put together for me a few years ago, 28” 7 twist Hart barrel on 700 LA, Jewell trigger, this was all before long heavy bullets and fast twist barrels were popular. It’s still a blast to shoot, still chuckle at everyone calling it a barrel eater.
As a Custom Rifle Builder I wholeheartedly recommend the .22 Creedmoor simply due to the fact I sell more barrels that way. Back in the day there was a caliber called a .22-243 Middlestead and the .22 Swift both were massive barrel eaters with 1-14 and 1-12 twist barrels and this caliber can't be any better and with the new faster twists it'll rip the rifling right out of the barrel post haste I feel.
Yup, I used to hear those rumors, too, but after nearly twenty 220 Swifts (several fast twist versions), I can say that they don't eat barrels any faster than other rifles I've owned 😉
Awesome Chris. Good looking Rifle, and I agree with the Nexus. Awesome scope, I’m using it on my .300WSM. I’m also busy planning on building a Hunting/NRL .22 cal. So far, looks like I’m going with the .22GT. Awesome build, can’t wait for the next Video 👊🏻
You may want to get a digital infrared thermometer to monitor barrel heat and determine the best temperature range to avoid flyers. Also use a magic marker to number cases sort out the flyers. Retest flyers as a separate group. Throw out the bad ones.
I agree I would stick with that powder. I just put a new criterion 6.5 creedmoor barrel on my target rifle and all through load development I never shot a group bigger than .512moa and that's from 38.8gn to 42.0gn of H4350 going in .3 gn increments. Smallist group was .222moa at 40.6gn -20off lands
I am planning on a 22 creed soon. I hope you are able to post your load development :) I would love to sling 75 to 77 grain around 3400 to 3500 fps, and up to 90 around mid 3100 fps.
Pls try coat ur bullet with graphite power and see spreads. Neck tension on 22 seems to be finicky in my 22x47 also.... graphite was a game changer.... try it, let us know
Just 1 big question im really interested to know the answer to, is the element nexus really worth the extra 700 odd bucks more than the titan that you have,is the glass really that much better?
Honestly I haven’t had the chance to set them side by side and compare yet. The glass does seem better best I can remember but I’ll have to do a side by side comparison before I can give a better answer.
A few questions. Second time coming back to this video. What is the barrel life like on a 22 creed? What is the ballistics table looking like as far as drop and drift? And what would be the most price to quality way to build one? I’m looking at the new Aero action. A preferred pre-fit barrel, a Timney impact rem 700 trigger, and a tactical McMillan stock or a MDT chassis. And after it’s all said and done optics and rings I’m looking at around $3200. Is there a way to without sacrificing quality to get that down any?
Hi there nice shooring I have a ? For you I have a ruger american in 223 rem and i like to swap the berrel for 22 creed now can i run the same bolt or needs a diferent bolt face? Thanks
22 Creedmoor runs on a 308 bolt face so you would need a different bolt. Is the 223 rem in a Ruger American built on their micro action? If so you would possibly need a different action, but I’m not 100% sure on that part

He does great work on those barrels. Love seeing other remage builds. I have a 22xc close to 22 creed
that would be a cool round as well.

that sounds like a dandy of a build , certainly used all the good ingredients to build it 🤙🏼

Nice looking rig Chris! Good shooting!
Thank you sir! Your barrels never disappoint, thank you for a great product!
This guy is a mad scientist!!
Man. This rifle will be incredible once you get the load fine tuned.
thank you, i think its gonna be pretty decent.
By that time the barrel will be burned out.
I know it’s hard to find, reloader 16 works great in my 6 creed, might want to try magnum primers to lower your SD
I strive for perfection more than most anyone I know, but 1/4 MOA at 95 yards I'd stick with that powder.

Man it’s pretty slick. I can’t wait to get on some dogs with it
