Your parents are raising you right. Great reaction. Many of us have heard this song hundreds, maybe thousands of times and we still react to it just like you. Chris was magic.
I like the Brian May collab version of the song his vocal riff in the beginning is absolutely absurd and his vocals in general are even better on that version however the audio mix is terrible towards the end and can hardly hear Chris in which the original version takes the cake.
Seeing Soundgarden live was so awesome! Chris Cornell ‘s voice could practically peel paint off the walls with his crazy metal singing range. Check out “Birth Ritual” for a perfect example of his vocal power. My husband and I have seen Soundgarden several times and Chris Cornell solo lots of times. Sadly, we saw Soundgarden 2 days before Chris’ death. Still so heartbreaking. RIP Chris Cornell
Always happy to watch your reactions to all things Chris Cornell. This didn't disappoint. Got to tell you, when he passed, my love of music died a little bit too. Still took my daughter to concerts and such. But since watching you react to Soundgarden the first time, I've slowly found that love of music again. I thank you for that.
@Cadence Presley as well you should feel good. You do an awesome job with your reactions. Better than grown adults I've watched for years. Keep up with the good vibes. I'm quite sure I'm not the only one your reactions have touched in such a positive way.
i love this kid, his faces he made thruout were mine back when i bought this album in 1991 so cute i love you KID now you know the great singer God Chris Cornell
OK, here’s the other half of the gold star for Soundgarden: Tighter & Tighter. It shows off Chris’ outstanding vocals but also the band really shines on it. Super cool but relatively unknown song by them. The Day I Tried to Live is another excellent one by them just in case this one doesn’t seal the deal. 😁
You have very expressive eyebrows - the perfect eyebrows to react to this absolute gift of a track for the first time! Well done you for carrying appreciation for Soundgarden on through the younger generations. And RIP to Chris Cornell, you magical mofo. Right on. 🤘
This is the last song I ever heard them do - just 11 days before Chris died. I was 2nd row in the pit just below the stage. I swear to God, two hours later, back at my hotel, I could still feel the vibration of the bass from that rendition. Another song to hear that you should definitely hear: Beyond the Wheel. Even in 2014 (a live version) he was STILL hitting it. The dude was 50 and still SLAYING it.
"It's been toooo long" how long is that to kids theese days? 10 or 15 minutes? I do love seeing younger kids experiencing (in my opinion) truly great, original music.
2:13 Yes...Chris was THAT good! haha This song and Chris' vocals are otherworldly! It seems like fans of this channel are suggesting great songs for reactions. Keep them coming!!
Now I understand the value of reaction videos. Kid, you just reminded me what it felt like to drive around in my first car, blasting Soundgarden and blowing out my voice to this song. I'd literally be hoarse when I got wherever I was going, but I couldn't _not_ sing along. Oh, and I'm AFAB and probably a contralto, just to emphasize how insane Chris's range was. (Obviously I didn't know what I was doing and couldn't sing with good technique, but I can't really sing anyway so who cares?)
SLAVES & BULLDOZERS is my favorite Soundgarden song and they are my favorite band by far. Two other great songs you will really like from Soundgarden that really features Chris’s voice is MAILMAN and THE DAY I TRIED TO LIVE. One Chris Cornell live performance you absolutely have to hear is WHEN I’M DOWN, live at The Troubadour.
One of THE BEST voices EVERRRRRR! The whole bad is amazing in their own right. Ben is a really good but under rated bassist and Matt is one of my favorite drummers! Kim was innovative and creative which helped to give them a "sound"( NOT GRUNGE LOL). Love this band!
It's great to see a young musician who appreciates and is inspired by past greatness! I'm a 57 yr old drummer who has been influenced by Bonham, Copeland,Bozzio, all 3 Chamberlain's (Jimmy,Matt and Mathew) Grohl, Greb All the Gospel Chops guy's. My point is that's 40 years of talent and different decades of style... Always remain teachable and humble. Peace little brother
Chris and his voice were both beautiful. They just were. Mix of emotions here... Joy from seeing someone experience and appreciate music I love and just so sad over how Chris' time here ended.
If you're looking for songs that really showcase Cornell's range and vocal power, I'd personally recommend Soundgarden's "Room a Thousand Years Wide", "New Damage", and "Beyond the Wheel." Temple of the Dog's "Say Hello 2 Heaven" and "Reach Down", both tribute songs to Cornell's friend & former roommate, the late Andy Wood, are equally remarkable. These last two, in particular, have a distinctively soulful vibe to them - very bluesy. Listen to the studio versions for all songs mentioned with exception to SG's "Beyond the Wheel." For that one, go with the band's live performance in Düsseldorf, Germany. You won't regret it.
Yes! Great reaction! Totally different sound but Fell on Black Days is a must listen and was a big hit. They have so many different sounds. No 2 songs sound the same so it’s hard to pick 😊❤
This was an amazing time for music!! I was 16 when this came out it was a helluva time to be alive. Our country was doing well. You could afford gas and rent and a concert all in the same week. Best time for music ALL music.. hip hop and rap was at its peak also
There is alot of songs with Chris Cornell that will floor you ...but You really want to hear another song where he hits the sonic boom on vocals?..then do a reaction to " Cold Bitch " by Soundgarden..
Chris Cornell was one of the most powerful and soulful voices from seattle rock scene from 90s. You should listen to the Soundgarden song Birth Ritual wich have a great, unique and original voice display. I recomend you the live version at the single party.
Cadence, have you checked out Audioslave? Chris hooked up with the band "Rage Against the Machine" to put together a "supergroup" called "Audioslave". They made some amazing music together. They made some great videos too. A few songs to look into from their collaboration are. . "Show Me How to Live", "Like A Stone", "Cochise", "Shadow on the Sun", and "The Last Remaining Light".
Have an answer for your request at 7:52 in the video - check out "Beyond the Wheel" live in Duesseldorf 1990. Chris's ENTIRE range is on display there. Satisfaction guaranteed.
Beyond The Wheel (Live in Dusseldorf, Germany) Cold Bitch Limo Wreck 4th of July (very doomey and psychedelic) Tighter & Tighter (very psychedelic) Black Rain Blind Dogs Fresh Tendrils
I feel so old that I had to look up what generation alpha even was and im only a millennial. I remember when this music was contemporary in the 90s. It is so weird to think about kids now listening to this as if it were something ancient, like we thought about the 70's being.
My favorite Soundgarden track is Jesus Christ Pose. You ever listen to the band Snot? They only made one studio album then the lead singer died. They made a tribute album that's phenomenal. Same band but with guest singers from Korn, Incubus, Sevendust, Slipknot etc etc...
WHAT A SONG HEY!!!!! Just as you think Jesus that's big....it goes BIGGER...THAT voice is WIIIILD!!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘GREAT SONG.its tinged with sadness....it was their last song😥
I mean Black Rain, Birth Ritual, Cold B*tch, Superunknown, Room A Thousand Years Wide, New Damage original or Brian May collab, Jesus Christ Pose, Holy Water, Beyond The Wheel, SpoonMan, The Day I Tried to Live I, loud love, big dumb sex, nothing to say, smokestack lightning I mean I can keep going 😂 would all surely get Soundgarden a gold star 😂
Soundgarden have way too many songs that can impress. One of my favorites for example: Gun, Room a thousand years wide, Limo wreck, Spoonman, Like suicide...etc.
8:01 haha "but if there is another song like that?" hahaha did you say IF? they filled albums with bangers like these :D Try the one called "New Damage", most people don't suggest it. Enjoy.
@@zap7378 I always am. Also, my parents have no wealth whatsoever. We barely qualify as middle class. Hustling, hard work, the generosity of friends and sponsorship is how I have achieved everything so far.

Matt Cameron is the most underrated drummer, he is such a badass
Mind blowing drummer in Soundgarden...PJ, not so much.
My favourite drummer! Biggest influence on my own playing for sure as a drummer of 7 years
This song goes hard as fuck. Honestly I think it's one of the best Soundgarden songs
The only problem is that there's no way to perform it live and have it hit the same way because of the overlapping tracks here.
It’s awesome to watch people floored by Cornell’s voice. This and New Damage are probably the best examples of his power and range from this album.
I like the Brian May collab version of the song his vocal riff in the beginning is absolutely absurd and his vocals in general are even better on that version however the audio mix is terrible towards the end and can hardly hear Chris in which the original version takes the cake.
@@michaelromano1153 The beginning of that version truly is jaw dropping. Like you said though, the original takes the cake overall but that intro…
Cold Bitch
Although it's not technically on the album
@@leviathan3630 ?
"are ya done??" best reaction ever
This song is definitely one of those where Chris is at his most vocally furious. Try “Beyond The Wheel” for jaw-dropping range.
I know I'm late but Limo Wreck was beyond godly as well
One of the best for this would be Birth Ritual.
Was lucky enough in '90 to see them on tour for this record in SF. The Gen X howl in full force.
Glad you listened to this. Chris at his best. He was so amazing. Gone too soon. 😢
Everybody should make these faces listening to this song. It's still glorious to listen to 30 years later!
Seeing Soundgarden live was so awesome! Chris Cornell ‘s voice could practically peel paint off the walls with his crazy metal singing range.

i mean that otherworldly shriek during the solo for Spoonman also floors me every single time.
I missed them. 4. Times.
4 fucking times.
Tell your worst enemy. Tell 'm . I dare you.
Chris's voice back then was so suited to this kind of music. Perfection!
Gen X here. Greatest make vocalist of my generation. My opinion only. Not going to argue.

Welcome to our soundgarden family 🤟
Check out the day i tried to live or beyond the wheel

This belongs in the top 10 heavy metal songs of all time. PERIOD.
Soundgarden were not a Heavy Metal band. Never did. Heavy, yes, dark, yes, trippy, yes, loud, yes, Metal, nope.
Congrats dude, you just heard the best voice in rock. 🤟
Personal favourite is "Face Pollution", one of their faster songs from Badmotorfinger. "Drawing Flies" is cool too.
The Led Zeppelin of our 90s timeline.

Badmotorfinger 1991 GREAT year in music! Fun to watch your reaction!
Great job on the deep cut. One of the first songs to turn me on to this band. 🤘
The section shows you the talent gap between today’s artists and those with talent from the “good ol’ days.”

THE song to pick if you want to introduce people to what Chris Cornell was able to do. Just incredible.
This is my favorite Soundgarden song by a mile. Chris just sounds unhinged.
That Bleed Your Heart Out is so STRONG!!! Check out Black Rain. Chris sounds amazing on it! So GOOD!
