Which TTC subway station is closest to ROM from Union?
ROM (ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM) can accessed either via:
Museum Station (on the Yonge-University Subway Line 1 - the northbound
VAGHAN destined train).
If you had somehow taken the northbound FINCH marked train,
simply change at Bloor Yonge and take the Westbound Bloor-Danforth line (Kipling marked train ) to St. George Station.
From there take the Southbound FINCH marked train to Museum Station.

Where is the entrance to the ROM?
You can enter ROM through the heritage entrance on Queen's Park.
Alternatively, you can access it from the newer Weston Entrance.
You can also exit ROM at St. George station and leave through the Bedford exit. This stop is fully accessible with elevators to street level at the Bloor Street and Bedford Road entrance.

How long does it take to go through the Royal Ontario Museum?
It can take you approximately 2 hours (or 3 if you want to exhaust the visit to the maximum - that's how much time it takes you to visit the entire museum). Generally, the museum is less crowded in the afternoon hours on weekdays.
Where does Yonge-University Subway Line travel
Line 1 Yonge-University has 38 stations, and is a “U-shaped” route running generally in a south and then north direction. The route operates from the northern area of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue East, south to Union Station in downtown Toronto, and then north again to the area of Highway 7 and Jane Street.
