I have done an empirical research and discovered that about 80% of comedians, MCs and stand-up acts all started out as Church instrumentalists or Choir members. DYOR; write down the names of comedians you know, and trace them back to being church instrumentalists. Also, I have discovered that most secular music artistes all started out from church choirs. There has to be system to retain and reward these people, something attractive enough to keep them in church and in Christ
May God bless you for the beautiful speech to most Nigerians pastors who don't encourage their musicians in the church financially. Some will not have good or complete sounds system how do u even want a good music professional to stay in such a place. May God help us
