At GWP Protective, our company ethos is based on providing each of our clients with a level of service that they will not find anywhere else. As a result of this we have a dedicated in house design team with a vast knowledge of flight cases, branded protective cases, and the expert engineering of foam inserts and cushion packaging.
There are a number of stages involved within the design process we follow at GWP Protective. Initially, one of our sales and / or design team will visit the client in order to ascertain the solutions available and identify the best for each individual requirement. We will then conduct a conceptual design process in house, the result of which will be a detailed quotation and then, if required, a full 3 dimensional drawing for pre-production engineering approval.
This stage can also include our "mobile design" service, where we can digitise the products to be protected at the clients offices or production facility. This ensures a perfect fit between case, foam and product.
Following approval of the virtual design, GWP will then manufacture and supply a first-off prototype for final approval prior to volume manufacture. By creating both a visual and production sample, we have two levels of approval in place to ensure not only that the client is happy with the design, but that any possibility of errors are removed.
We will then manufacture the case and foam insert using a range of techniques, including CNC Routing, Die Cutting, Water Jet and Laser Etching processes. We also utilise a wide range of foam colours and densities to achieve a range of aesthetically pleasing effects.
