I've played it for years*. I spend a lot of time saying "oh dear"... Well not thoes exact words. But you get the idea. *I'm pretty sure my first copy was on floppy disk 😂
Worms Armageddon Rope is hands down the #1 video game item ever! This is also the best Worms game in the franchise for some reason, but it isn't even that close. I loved the rope so much as a kid I would do "rope training" where I would design levels and try to get around in them without landing.
Worms rope mechanics are a goldmine waiting to happen for some game designer that replicates them in another game and pulls it off well. The world needs more rope races...
Everytimes YT suggest a Ruffled vid I have to watch it, so amazing to see and such great momories of the old days whan i got that game on CD, too bad i can't find it anymore
The run is great, the explanation is great, but what made me watch the entire thing is Ruffled both playing and commenting the game at the same time. It feels just so professional!
This is one of my new favorite speed runs! This game is like a sandbox full of possibilities; I can't imagine how much thought goes into the each turn and how to optimize it. The execution was underrated if you have never played this game. If you haven't, go play it now! It's incredible!
Best speedrun I’ve ever seen. Mostly because of how technical it is though it was pretty quick too. I don’t think I even beat all the missions, very impressive
I love about this generation of worms games that they actual had fully designed missions and maps. Random maps maybe is more pvp friendly. But destroying pictures is more fun.
Are we sure RuffledBricks isn't the Kwisatz Haderach? We won't come back to another of his speed runs in the future to discover he's turned fully into a worm?

I remember playing this game all the time as a kid. Mostly the multiplayer though. I gave up on the single player like 2 missions in because I thought it was way too difficult. Nice to see it torn apart like this. I still have the PS1 disk sitting on my shelf right next to me, too.
Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.
I remember getting a demo version of the very original Worms game, it was barebones, you just created 2 teams and fought using weapons. that was the entire game. My friends and I played the demo so much that child me tried to find the full version. I couldn't find it anywhere. I remember emailing Team 17 asking about finding a copy. Over the course of several days I exchanged emails with whoever this person was from Team 17. I eventually asked if I could just get a copy of the game they said "No, you will have to buy a copy just like everyone else". My parents eventually found a copy at a computer repair shop. My friends and I then proceeded to play that version the game to death.
You mean DOS version? I remember I had a diskette 3.5" with games which I used in school. I put there several games using archive program. Also I had to tune game files. So for example in may games was only one background, as I copied the same under original names, so archive program treat them as same file, and game thought that they are intact. Worms was one of those games.
This was great to watch, i ran the top clan in this game back in the day. It's amazing that a speed run has absolutely zero roping tricks tho. You missed a ton of time saves there.
Love the event! Is it true though, that GDQ pulled out of their event in Florida because of political decisions? I was shoked to see that and I would like to know if it's true
So glad I noticed that I had accidentally bumped the thumbs down button! I have since corrected this grave error with a resounding click on the like button.
If you've ever played a Worms game you know just how impressive this run is.

Fantastic runner! Skilled, witty, nice and entertaining. Please more of him at GDQ!
Dear me this man is an absolute God of Worms.... Anyone who has ever played this casually knows how hard some of this stuff is.... Wow
Great, precise run. One of my favorite AGDQ runs.
This man is a legend for me.
amazing run! great commentary and the host was so instant and concise with donation readings!
Best run of this GDQ if you ask me.
This is the smoothest worms war I had ever witnessed.

The worms crew has always put on a good show each time I've seen them and the game itself is a fun blast from the past. GG's on a great run.
Halleluja! Great Run and Commentary
I really hope this runner and worms speedruns becomes more reoccurring in future GDQs cause this was incredibly fascinating!
The run is great, the explanation is great, but what made me watch the entire thing is Ruffled both playing and commenting the game at the same time. It feels just so professional!
Omg a Speedrun in Worms Armageddon?! HYPE
This run was pure magic, by the way.

Impressive 🤯
Had no idea you could speedrun Worms but damn am I glad I found this. great run!
Great run, great runner, excellent commentary and a classic game!
"That's pure magic by the way!"
Always a pleasure to see this game/runner at events.
What the hell, I loved this game as a kid. What a sick speedrun was this!
"Last chance, gang, to sing along. Feel good hit of the summer." *mouths hallelujah*
Oh man I nearly died
So much nostalgia just seeing the title in this game. Used to play ninja rope; grenade + bazooka lobbies. So hard and so fun
This run came recommended, did not disappoint! Amazing run!
Damn, looking at this run. Just wow. Great job!
I have never seen Worms done professionally, that's so cool :)
Awesome stuff! Well done RB, great run :D
really impressive and cool run
Excellent run, great runner and commentary.
Great run and commentary!
Didn't expect this much tech going in
54:02 That's the kind of trick shot I would love to pull off when playing against some friends!
That was amazing. I gotta echo all the donations about how much my younger self struggled with these mission as a kid. :)
Shoutouts to GLPhoenix, that worm did a lot of work, and the runner is probably pretty cool too
i love the game and i admire the runners skill, really well done mate!!!
I never thought a Worms run would be this fun. But this is absolutely Legendary! What a fun run.
Sadly people end up griefing him.
Never imagined this game being something speedrunners would play.
Best speedrun I’ve ever seen. Mostly because of how technical it is though it was pretty quick too. I don’t think I even beat all the missions, very impressive

Awesome run dude! Really wish I could have been there but time aaaaaaaaaa
Great run!
best run this year
Fantastic run and commentary! 👏 ♥
1:00:00 Wow
What a joy to watch!
Well, they were before my time for data storage and games, but I know what cassette tapes are. Also, that was a great run, tons of fun to watch!
That aquasheep crate collection was surgical.
this is so impressive!!! this game is so full of nuances its very hard to master to this degree
Are we sure RuffledBricks isn't the Kwisatz Haderach? We won't come back to another of his speed runs in the future to discover he's turned fully into a worm?
Honestly, I didn't know the Worms franchise had any story to it. I thought it was all of the shenanigans it is known for.
Great run, was cool to see techniques that weren’t used at last GDQ!
What a wonderful game

Still a fun series. :) Great run.

Love the run!
Upvote for the holy trinity pun
Amazing run. It's a shame people started to ruin his run by spamming friend requests.
Amazing!
"That's pure magic by the way"
Really great run for a live performance o.O
a solid run from a pro! worms will never die

I loved it!
Bri'ish representation at GDQ is nice to see
I figured out the cluster bomb trick back in 1997 when I first played Worms 2 demo
amazing, as a kid I though this game was impossible :P
hahaha 45:50 looks like I was not only with the same impression
LET'S GOOO!!!
09:20
sick
Yo! shout out to scorched earth!
Wow. Childhood RUINED. I was the best among my friends at this game when it was new.
Angry Scots is the best voice pack, it is known.
Perfect
God tier run
do you run worms wmd too / is there even an active community (speedrunning campaigns)?
17:58. That's basically Fortnite.
This was great to watch, i ran the top clan in this game back in the day. It's amazing that a speed run has absolutely zero roping tricks tho. You missed a ton of time saves there.
Still waiting for you to tell me about all those time-saving grenade bounces I missed from the ESA run.
Love the event! Is it true though, that GDQ pulled out of their event in Florida because of political decisions? I was shoked to see that and I would like to know if it's true
Fantastic run, people adding the guy on steam are assholes tho.
So glad I noticed that I had accidentally bumped the thumbs down button! I have since corrected this grave error with a resounding click on the like button.
First :]
awesome run!
