Fun fact! This whole series started as a thesis film (Which you can go and check out!)
Started even before that! There's an interview somewhere with Zeddyzi and ToonBoom I think. They mentioned that the 3 characters started as "Neopet-like" animal things when zeddyzi was a kid, but they changed to humans when zeddyzi grew out of the neopet phase. It's a pretty interesting interview!

The person on the left of the guy with the small glasses and top hat is a cameo appearance for one of the animators. Their name is KittenSneeze. They also worked on Helluva Boss.

As someone who is trying to make my own animated series, Ramshackle is a huge inspiration to me.
This is only the Pilot, so I expect an actual story once more gets made, and I’m am super excited for it.
Good luck on your series! Can I either help as an animator or a writer though? (Im still a newbie in animating but I am learning though)

That is a kind offer, and if I was anywhere close to ready to start animating, I would accept.
I’ve had the idea for this story for about a year now, but I’ve never really expanded on it.
I only started seriously working on it in late March.
I want to at least finish the story (maybe the storyboard too) before enlisting any help.
And while I’m writing the outline, I’ll also be working on my artistic skills, concept arts, and character designs. Not to mention the extra research I have to do on history and mythology to get the appropriate material for a consistent background.
All in all, I expect 2-3 years till I can start animating with intent to finish.

1:49 that "oh, they're scraps" awakened the theorist in me after the whole 'scrapbook' bit. they are actually in a scrapbook, but they are characters that got 'scrapped', which is why they are in the alleys and shadows, they arent the main focus (lore-wise, irl-wise they are literally the mc's)

also the reason stone got so happy after the baby ate lady is because after the baby said "stone" which is his name

Stone had just fell in love with Maggot for saying his name as Maggot's 'first word'.

@@lightningbolt9155yea ur partially correct, the oc’s go way back to 2010 but originally the oc’s made it to a webtoon comic. The actual animated show was planned a year ago or so.
Vivziepop and Glitch both likely had a really big hand in inspiring so many people.
I remember a segment of the GLITCHX livestream where they gave Ramshackle a shoutout.
GLITCHX is what originally inspired me to start working on my own animated series too.
I’m far from done, but things are progressing.

I knew Stone is gonna turn out to be a rich kid who either got disowned or left because he was sick of living someone elses dream. Its a cliche but man it gets me every time❤
The artstyle for this looks really well done, The animators did well putting in the Defined Lines and such.

You should also react to the Ramshackle thesis! It was released before the pilot, then it was successful, so the pilot was created eventually. It’s like 2 mins long
Ok time for me to suggest an indie animation series too. Autodale, by Dead Sound on TH-cam. There is the series itself, and a series of videos of the creator talking about the creative process of the episodes. A pretty good watch if you ask me.

If the orphanages are anything like they were from the time period the show seems to be sort of imitating then she had a right to be concerned with leaving the baby in the care of one. Hell, even _now_ it's a complete crap shoot that you would end up in a somewhat reliable place.
