I like your way of thinking with regards to the different versions of the clamp and card area of the saber. Unless one striving to be specific to one of the films in particular, the saber you have seems to have all the rest of the details that are actually noticiable when Luke or Anakin is holding it. Basically the shapes and silouette that people fans and just casual movie goers alike readily associate with that saber. The clamp/acivation box area is probably the most negotiable detail. I would imagine the more rounded edges of that Ultrasabers model make it a bit more comfortable to hold.

I have an Ultrasabers Manticore. I have mixed feelings on if I got a good deal or not. At the beginning when I ordered it their customer service was great....however my order did not come as I had configured it and its been a mess ever since. I have been abandoned. That being said, I will be doing a comparison review this weekend on three different saber types. Great Obi Wan impression by the way.

I may not have gotten this if I didn't check in with them. I would still be waiting.

Have you ever thought about getting a neopixel proffie installed saber with smooth swing

Nah. I know that Ultrasabers are pretty low end, especially after my Vader's Vault Hero, but I'd rather have more sabers useful for duelling rather than pretty sabers for looking.

I wish they would simply use rubber wind shield wiper strips, rather than the hard plastic.

I feel like rubber eventually becomes brittle, as opposed to the plastic/composite/whatever-it-is. I could be wrong though.
