Meanwhile, I don't know if y'all are aware that your surrounding has at least, an impact on your life. In essence, I'm saying that the majority of those who school in Private Universities are surrounded by the wealthy and highly connected. I think this is an advantage students in private uni have over their counterparts. You can easily get a job after school just because you know the Senator's son or the CEO's daughter. I mean, how often do you find someone of this caliber in a public uni? Just saying 🙂

I feel like it’s harder in public universities because y’all basically teach yourselves. The lecturers aren’t being treated well or even paid so who wants to work or even has the zeal to work when they won’t get paid. That’s why it’s seems harder . You have a whole curriculum to cover with no guidance and your facilities are kinda outdated to as well hence I can relate but the fact that the basic amenities you need for sound education is being withheld from you but we kinda have, doesn’t mean that it’s easier for us though. Our grading isn’t any easier. We also use negative marking for some of our courses and the exams are hell. So I kinda think it’s not nice to diminish someone’s hard work because of things they have access too.

To me I feel whether private or public it's better to have the opportunity to choose where will fit you best (if it happens) cos majority of people in public universities are there because of insufficient funds. But anyways I've met people that have even more than enough sufficient funds but have decided to choose to stay at a public university because of certain reasons. Then on the other hand "most" people in private universities are there because their parents chose them to be there with reasons also. Personally I had the opportunity to go to a private university but decided to forfeit it because I know myself and I know that public university has what I need to drive me to where I want. The ASUU strike is just the major discouragement 🙂
