Metric has a way of getting you in a positive mood. At least it works for me. Intellect + energy. Great drive songs, great video game songs, great sports reps songs. Even slower reflection type songs. All good.
Yeah I'm driving 21 hours to Orlando in a couple days, been debating whether to take car or motorcycle. Listening to Metric has been pushing the needle over to "Ride the damn bike" 😅 (lost sight in one eye a few years ago, haven't been as gung-ho about long rides since then).
Ironically I found metric in a game called Test drive unlimited 2 which the in-game car radio was playing Gold, Guns & Girls, If it wasn't for that game id probably never heard of them, so glad I did, Metric is amazing & that beautiful voice I fell in love with :)
In other words extremely talented/gifted artists, lucky are those who stumble upon their awesome material, some of the messages in these songs are very deep/sensitive & audiovisual, a sense of admiration to know that this a unique rare band, so much needed in today's (non-sense) music industry 😉👍

Wow, can't believe it took until I bought tickets to a Metric show for me to start listening to their albums-- this album is excellent all the way through. I used to just listen to them for Black Sheep and Help I'm Alive.

Depends. I like American smooth jazz and some rap.
***** I'm from Scotland so I think I probably have a pretty good outside view. There are a lot of good bands coming out of America. You have the rock scene cornered. British bands slip in every now and then but the American music scene is huge. Singers like David Bowie are praised for being original but in the 90s he was trying out Frank Black. I often forget that Scotlands music scene is great too but we've got stuff like The View, Simple Minds and Franz Ferdinand.
