You still need to know everything from roof to tire about your car, what tuner to go with, you need to be able to control a car with such an immense amount of power. Money isn't everything, it's like they always say, "Money doesn't buy skill". I agree, money is needed to do this obviously, but to say that anyone in his position would be able to do the same is nothing short of ignorant.

The GT-R AMS ALPHA 12+ is an absolute beast. The footage from 3:05 looks to be taken out of the cockpit of an F-15 fighter jet going down a runway. What a blast it must be to experience acceleration like that. However, the real question is this - How drivable is all that horsepower on the road and how reliable can the engine be when the engine is not stock but tuned to 1,700 hp? It seems to me that it would not be hard to blow the engine with that much horsepower. The GTR's stock 600 hp engine seems to be very versatile if it can be tuned all the way up to 1,700 hp and even 1,800 hp.
I compared the times of this beast to another beast - the Hennessey Venom GT. Here are the results -
This tuned GTR is 1.46 seconds faster than the Hennessey Venom GT from 0 - 200 kph
Its 1.26 second faster than the Hennesey Venom GT from 0 - 300 kph.
However, interestingly both cars post around the same times when it comes to their 0 -370 kph times -
0 - 370 kph in 19.96 seconds for the Venom vs 0 - 382 kph in 22.53 seconds for the GTR AMS.
The GTR AMS would be faster than the Venom up to 300kph because it has OVER 1:1 power to weight ratio vs the 1:1 power to weight ratio of the Venom. However, I think the Venom equals the acceleration times of the GTR AMS when it comes to 0 - 370 kph due to the Venom being much more aerodynamic than the GTR AMS which means that the GTR has to fight much more than the Venom against the drag of the air at very high speeds.
your almost right but believe it or not the gtr is actually more aerodynamic then the venom, it's hard to believe I know looking at it's shape and all but if you look up the drag coefficients it's lower, the real reason why they start leveling off and being about the same once they get up to 370kmh is because the Nissan gtr weighs more, weight isn't so much a factor when you first launch and in some cases can even help you launch better but when it comes to top speed runs you want to be as light as possible.

T.O.P.S weight has nothing to do with top speed. And drag coef. is not even 1/2 of the equation for air drag.
they both have similair frontal areas and the bugatti seems to have worse Cd. But as you see, a car with more power and supposedly more aerodynamic (gtr) it does seems to be quite short on the top speed as compared to the veyron.
Chad W not really, gtr's have been taken to 250mph now. any slight advantage the Veyron has in top speed over the tuned gtr's is probably chalked up to gear ratios and nothing els.

This GT-R is a monster. We filmed a M3 ESS VT2 against a CLS63 with upgrade ECU a few weeks ago, and the M3 crushed the CLS. I can't imagine what is like to ride in this GT-R, it must be insane. Check our channel for the video!

The thing with a 500 bhp 100k car humiliating the 1 million 1200 bhp Venom is pathetic , because all the power that venom gt has is absolutely useless due to the fact that it can't be transmitted properly to it's wheels. If I pay 1 million for a powerful car , at least I'd want to be able to beat cars lower than mine, but it doesn't happen. I bet you that a 911 GT3 RS and a R35 GT-R 2013 stock will crush any Venom GT on a race track.

Ben Power launching an almost 2000bhp car isnt exactly easy. AMS have built this car for Yuri for the purpose of 1 mile vmax not for 1/4 mile drags. Thats what omega is for. The aventador vs this would be pointless, it would get absolutely destroyed. and you saw how easily it crushed that 800bhp M3 lol....

In terms of aerodynamics thats not really correct. The Veyron SS has a drag coefficient of around 0.35 and the GT-R has a drag coefficient of 0.26 meaning that the GT-R can cut through the air more easily, hence more aerodynamically efficient than a Veryron SS.
